Hunt’s Photo Adventures

Expanding upon the very popular Hunt’s Photo Walks, we are now offering photography workshops on a local, national, and international platform. Hunts Photo Adventures are educational workshops that immerse the student in all aspects of the photographic and creative process. Adventures will vary in duration as well as location and each one will be planned to provide attendees with dynamic photographic opportunities as well as a memorable personal experience. On adventures, we will maximize our time in the field shooting a multitude of subjects and also incorporate classroom instruction, critiques, and photographic discussion each day.
The following is applicable of each Adventure, unless otherwise noted:
•Adventures are limited to 10 attendees with a minimum of 5.
•We will have one instructor per 5 attendees; most workshops are planned to feature two instructors.
•The cost of the Adventure includes lodging; meals are not included in the cost. Transportation during the Adventure varies per workshop.
•For each Adventure, transportation to and from the location is required, including, if applicable, a flight ticket.

Hunt’s Photo Adventure: Birding Along the Space Coast

Thursday, January 18th through Sunday, January 21st, Titusville, FL. Florida is considered by many to be a mecca of bird photography. On this workshop, we will explore some of the best bird photography locations in the state!

Hunt’s Photo Adventure: Vermont in Winter

Friday February 9th to Sunday February 11th, Woodstock, VT. Red barns, covered bridges, rolling landscapes, and abstract formations of ice make Vermont appealing even during winter. On this workshop, we will capture the winter in a classic New England town.

Hunt’s Photo Adventure: Great Smoky Mountain National Park

Tuesday April 24th – Sunday April 29th, Gatlinburg, TN. The Smoky’s are renowned for their diversity of nature, abundant plant and wildlife, rushing streams, and ancient mountains. Our Adventure will lead us to Cade’s Cove to explore elements of the mountain people, along Tremont to photograph the rushing water, and more!

Hunt’s Photo Adventure: The City of New York

Wednesday May 2nd through Sunday May 6th, New York, NY. During our time in NYC, we will visit such places as the Brooklyn Bridge, the 9/11 Memorial, Times Square, Rockefeller Plaza, St Paul’s Cathedral, Ellis Island, and more. Not only will we help you improve your photography skills, but you will also get to take in some of the most iconic scenes in New York City.

Hunt’s Photo Adventure: Mid-Coast Maine and Pemaquid Point Lighthouse

Wednesday May 16th to Sunday May 20th, Bristol, Maine. The many small towns of Mid Coast Maine are home to a dramatic shoreline, quaint fishing harbors, and dramatic lighthouses. We will explore coastal areas throughout the daylight hours and as well as incorporating night photography.

Hunt’s Photo Adventure: Springtime in Vermont

Thursday May 17th to Sunday May 20th, Quechee & Woodstock, VT. On this Adventure, we will spend our time as a group exploring scenic locations, a variety of nature, and local culture for many photographic and learning opportunities.

Hunt’s Photo Adventure: Grand Tetons National Park

Sunday June 3rd to Saturday June 9th, Jackson, Wyoming. The small western town of Jackson Wyoming is home to Grand Teton National Park. Encompassing over 300,000 acres this awe inspiring national park features a multitude of landscapes, wildlife, western culture, and, of course, the Grand Tetons themselves which dominate all of Jackson Hole dramatically.

Hunt’s Photo Adventure: Acadia National Park

Tuesday June 19th to Saturday June 23rd, Bar Harbor, Maine. Acadia National Park is a unique photographic destination unlike any other. Here you can shoot miles of dramatic coastline, crashing waves, mountain and ocean vistas, culturally rich towns, classic New England harbor scenes, and so much more.

Hunt’s Photo Adventure: The Bold Coast of Maine

Wednesday July 18th to Monday July 23rd, Lubec, Maine. Once a thriving fishing community, Lubec is now a quiet coastal town surrounded by the remnants of their fishing legacy. On this workshop, we will photograph rustic fishing harbors, the nearby Campobello Island, and many other unique locations.

Hunt’s Photo Adventure: Old Quebec City

Wednesday August 15th to Sunday August 19th, Quebec City, Canada. Fortifications, narrow streets, colorful buildings, and dramatic attractions such as the famous Château Frontenac Hotel, Citadelle of Québec, and the Petit Champlain makes Old Quebec City a fantastic destination for photographers.

Hunt’s Photo Adventure: Boston, Summer Excursion 2018

Wednesday August 22nd to Sunday August 26th, Boston, MA. With the chance to photograph the interesting people, textured details, and brilliant landscapes and architecture, the photographic possibilities of Boston are endless. We will photograph the North End, Boston Harbor, Boston Common, Beacon Hill, the Zakim Bridge, Rockport Harbor and more.

Hunt’s Photo Adventure: Provincetown & Outer Cape Cod

Tuesday September 4th to Sunday September 9th, Cape Code, MA. Miles of sprawling beaches, mountainous sand dunes, coastal towns, and exquisite light are the backdrop of this workshop. We will make use of the Cape’s eclectic streets and historic harbor for a variety of photo opportunities while also exploring many other beautiful features of this unique area.

Hunt’s Photo Adventure: Croatia

Friday September 15th to Sunday September 24th; Split, Dubrovnik, Bracc & Korcula Island, Croatia. Through day trips to coastlines, parks, fortresses, cathedrals, vineyards, and more, we will teach the aspects of photographing while our local guides will flesh out the history and sights behind these historic lands.

Wednesday, October 10th through Sunday, October 14th in Solon, Maine– a small town at the edge of some of Maine’s premier wilderness areas. This adventure will feature landscapes & night sky opportunities in Maine during the beautiful Autumn season!

Hunt’s Photo Adventure: Cuba- Real and Raw

Thursday, March 1st – Thursday, March 8th, Havana & Vinales, Cuba. Cuba is like no other place on earth. On this adventure to Cuba, our days will be full of photographic opportunities, instruction and discussion as we experience a very unique look into the heart and soul of Cuba.

Sunday February 17th – Wednesday February 27th, 2019. Escape the doldrums of winter and set out on a photo safari in Tanzania, Africa, the country that hosts the Great Migration and the world’s largest population of lions. Test your wildlife photography skills with nature’s best subjects.
