All Skill Levels Welcome
Join Hunt’s Photo Education for another entry in our Portrait Series where we will work on portraits in a natural light environment. We will emphasize creating portraits using available light through subject placement and composition through the aid of diffusers and reflectors. We will also discuss Subject Development, Exposure, Black and White Photography, and more. Photographers of all skill levels are encouraged to attend.
We have a change in venue for the day! Our workshop will now be held on location at Ft. Warren in the Boston Harbor! Here, we will be able to mix the gritty scenery of the Fort with the natural beauty of portraits. We will emphasize using natural light (with diffusers and reflectors). We will have multiple shooting locations and models for the morning/afternoon.
Fort Warren is a Civil War-era fort located on Georges Island in Boston Harbor. The fort was built with granite from nearby quarries in Quincy and upon completion was used to house Confederate prisoners of war during the Civil War (1861-1865). The fort stayed in service until World War I, but was then was decommissioned. Long abandoned, the fort still maintains a parade ground and several billeting, munitions, and defenses that make for adventurous and graphic images.
We will also be joined by Sigma professional Marc Farb who will have with him Sigma Lenses for use, including standard zoom lenses and Sigma’s beautiful Art Series prime lenses. This workshop is also a part of our Hunt’s Photo Education Weekend of Workshops with Sigma, in which you can sign up for just this event or the entire weekend for a discounted rate.
