Tuesday March 13th & 20th, 6-8pm • Hunt’s Photo, Melrose
Recommended prerequisite: Adobe Lightroom Basics; Basic knowledge of Adobe Photoshop
Instructor: Scott Levine
Class Level: Beyond Basic
Adobe Photoshop is widely known as one of the premier tools for editing, including layer, altering and retouching photographs. Adobe Lightroom provides basic image management as well as high-level image post-production. Combined, these two programs allow amazing capabilities to sculpt your photograph as you see fit.
Our Portrait Editing/Retouching class will guide you through the what to do to your portraits, why you want to make these changes, when to use them, and specifically how to make them using Adobe Lightroom & Photoshop. We will specifically discuss the following:
-Basic Skin Retouching
-Thinning Out Subjects
-Sharpening for Print
Because of the intensive nature of this program, we are limiting this class size to 6 attendees.
This class runs 4-hours over two weeks. Students should have a basic knowledge of the layout of Adobe Lightroom & Photoshop. We will work extensively on the techniques that we are discussing, but this class should not be your introduction to either program. We strongly recommend bringing a laptop with Adobe Lightroom & Photoshop installed. Adobe Lightroom should be at least Version 5 (Version 6 or CC is preferable); Adobe Photoshop should be Version 6 or CC (Photoshop Elements is a different program and is generally not recommended for this course).
