Salem is a historic coastal town mostly known for its infamous witch hysteria of 1692 however, Salem has also been a vibrant fishing, trading, and mercantile community for generations. Salem is home to centuries old architecture, a historic sailing ship, a small harbor, ancient cemeteries, and a vibrant downtown section that includes an eclectic mix of brick buildings, businesses, and artisans. We will explore all of these areas as well as its Derby Square farmers market and its famous common at night.
