Our Nation’s capitol, Washington DC, is unlike any other destination. Throughout the city there are monuments and museums built as inspiring testaments to history, people, and cultures. We will explore eclectic neighborhoods such as Georgetown and Old Town, but also reflect quietly at Arlington National Cemetery. Our group will visit monuments such as the Jefferson and Lincoln Memorials at sunrise and sunset to capture more dramatic light. We will creatively explore somber memorials that have immortalized fallen soldiers from World War Two, the Korean War, and Vietnam. We will visit the Newseum and be inspired by the photography of many others before us. We will walk the National Mall, visit the Library of Congress, and more. To explore Washington, D.C. is to embrace both the past and present of our great nation.
We will maximize our time in the field shooting a multitude of subjects as well as incorporating classroom instruction, critiques, and photographic assignments each day.
