Join us for an extraordinary photography adventure in Iceland where we’ll focus on capturing its iconic puffins and diverse birdlife, as well as the dramatic landscapes of the Highlands and South Coast. This immersive workshop is designed for photographers who want to refine their skills while exploring Iceland’s untamed beauty.
We’ll begin with exclusive access to puffin colonies, offering incredible opportunities to photograph these charismatic seabirds up close—whether in flight, perched on cliffs, or interacting in their natural habitat. In addition to puffins, we’ll capture cormorants, Arctic terns, and other seabirds, honing techniques for wildlife photography in dynamic coastal environments.
Next, we’ll venture deep into the Icelandic Highlands, where vast lava fields, cascading waterfalls, volcanic craters, and braided rivers create an unparalleled landscape for breathtaking compositions. The journey continues to the South Coast, home to black sand beaches, towering waterfalls, dramatic sea stacks, and rugged rock formations.
With expert instruction in a small-group setting, you’ll gain hands-on experience in wildlife, landscape, and action photography, ensuring you leave with a portfolio of striking images. Whether you’re drawn to capturing Iceland’s fascinating birdlife or its surreal landscapes, this workshop will elevate your skills and provide an unforgettable photographic journey.

We will also have to be prepared for wet conditions due to rain and over-spray from waterfalls. July is the warmest month in Iceland, with average temperatures between 50–55°F (10–13°C). It’s also the driest and least windy month of the year. (tell details of weather and particularly hot or cold extremes)
Participants should use one (1) soft-sided rolling suitcase for luggage and one (1) camera bag. Pack conservatively.
