Product Details

Everyone loves taking portraits in natural light, especially when the circumstances are just right, the overcast clouds have moved in, the temperature is in the mid-70s, all the hair and make-up has been done, and the wild horses are galloping in the distance.

Of course, we’re being facetious- sometimes it can be that easy, but not always. Sometimes, it’s a great idea to use natural light for outdoor portraits. Sometimes, we can find the perfect scenario lighting conditions, but what if we can’t? Or what if we want to get a shot some place where the light is different?
Join Hunt’s Photo Educator Paul Nelson as we discuss photographing portraits outdoors using both natural light and flash. We’ll begin by discussing what optimal conditions are for natural light portraits, then add in the element of flash and when to use it, and finish by specifically demonstrating how to set up your camera and flash, off-camera! We’ll also discuss:
•Diffusers and light modifiers
•Where to place your lights (and your subject)
•Different trigger options
•Light meters
•How to light for a variety of scenes

If you feel intimidated by using flash outdoors, join us for a lot of fun!
