Class Summary

- A standard zoom lens is a good starting point
- You are welcome to bring your own flash and light modifier (soft box, etc), or you may use what we have
- You will not need a tripod
- Feel free to bring snacks and water.
- Bring an extra camera battery and memory cards.
- As always, bring your enthusiasm and creative thoughts!
Refund Policy – Classes / Walks / Workshops
For classes, walks, & workshops, cancellations and postponement can be made up to 48-hours prior to the scheduled time. Refunds cannot be granted for cancellations placed less than 48-hours before a class or walk, but you can receive a 75% credit toward a future class, walk, or workshop.
For all cancellations, you must contact classes@huntsphoto.com prior to the event. If you register for a class and do not show up, your payment will be forfeited..
Headshots are some of the most basic tools in the portrait photographer’s arsenal, but they can be more challenging than you’d expect! Creating a great headshot requires a knowledge of lighting, how to pose your subject, and how to interact with them to get them comfortable.
In this workshop, we will work to create awesome headshots using simple tools and techniques so that you can create a great headshot ANYWHERE, not just in a studio! Attendees will also be guiding the setup (and take down) of all the gear. Attendees are also encouraged to bring their own gear, but we will primarily working with the the house gear, including:
-Speedlights and Studio Strobes
-Off-Camera Triggers
-Lightmeters
-Softboxes, Reflectors, and other Diffusers
Layout of the day:
9am- Introductions, brief presentation/discussion on exposure & speedlights, camera setup
10am-1pm- Begin creating setups. Photographing with models. We will have about 3 hours in two setups.
