SUMMARY:Printed Vision: Making a Fine Art Print- Hunt's Melrose or Online!
DESCRIPTION:The printed image shows our successes and our faults at a much higher level of detail than the digital image. To become better photographers\, it helps to understand this by creating the printed image as a final product. \nThis Printed Vision Session: Making a Fine Art Print\nTo print fine art or not to print fine art: That is the question. What does it mean to make a fine art print? What photographic papers define fine art? What editing choices should we make to get through the emotions of the print? How do we calculate our editing with our paper choices? \nIn the first session\, we will discuss the topic and elaborate on editing with examples. This will include discussion of exposure\, dynamic range and color\, but also deeper points\, such as noise reduction\, image sharpening and grain. In between sessions 1 and 2\, attendees will independently process 1-2 images and submit them to the instructor for printing. The instructor will send back a video image review discussing what you did and how to improve your edits for print. The instructor will then print one of the images to be displayed in the Print Review\, which will take place both in-person and online\, in case you cannot attend live. In the end of each session\, you will end up with a print up to 13×19” on Fine Art paper to take home with you. (We print on Moab\, Hahnemuhle\, and Canson fine art papers.) \nJoin us for this quintessential Printed Vision class! \nAbout our Printed Vision Classes \nOur Printed Vision sessions are excellent for anyone: \n• That wants a little help with editing before they get a print \n• That does print but has print-related questions \n• A person that prints often and wants to try a different paper \n• Someone with no knowledge of printing that just wants to get a print! \nReceiving Your Print\nAfter the class\, your print can either be mailed to you or picked up at one of our Hunt’s Photo store locations. \nRegistering and what is needed\nAfter you register for this class\, you will receive a confirmation email that will include information about how to access the online class\, including an online ID code that you will need to get into the class. DESCRIPTION:Did you take a photograph that’s too dark? Is the color way off? Did someone leave a pile of junk in the background of your otherwise pristine photo?\nJoin Hunt’s Photo Educator Ray Levesque as he shows how to make the best out of your bad photos in Lightroom! We will show tips and tricks on how to recover lost treasures\, touch up using spot removal and layer masks\, beautify using noise reduction\, image sharpening and grain\, and make the best with what you have!\nDisclaimer– there are always limits to what you can do with bad photos and not every bad photo can become a work of art\, and we will discuss what can and cannot be saved in the post-processing world! \nWe will be demoing these techniques on-screen during the class. This class will be recorded\, so we recommend that you watch the process and take notes during this time. \nRegistering and what is needed\nAfter you register for this class\, you will receive a confirmation email that will include information about how to access the online class\, including an online ID code that you will need to get into the class. Make sure to save this information. We will also send a reminder email about 48 hours prior to the class time with that same information. \nLayout of the class\nThe class will begin promptly at the time listed. The majority of the class–roughly 1 hour– will be a presentation on the topic\, followed by a short Q&A. This open session is the perfect way to level up your editing skills and walk away with stunning photos you’ll love. \n  \nPlease note: While this course is an open editing session\, this should not be your first time using Lightroom. It would be helpful for you to be familiar with many of the basics of file management and a few adjustments. There are now a few different versions of Adobe Lightroom right now.This course is specifically on Adobe Lightroom Classic.
