SUMMARY:Editing in Adobe Lightroom Classic- Hunt's Photo\, Manchester
DESCRIPTION:Please note: This course does not cover file management or importing images into the program. To learn how to do that\, check out our Lightroom File Management courses. \nThis is a great opportunity to build up your editing skills in Lightroom!\nAdobe Lightroom is the choice program for professionals and amateurs\, with ever-growing capabilities and options. However\, there are many levels to understanding in the program. What do we do to make basic changes? Once we learn those changes\, how can we “step it up” and figure out what to we’re supposed to do? How do we make images pop? And finally\, how do we put it all together and making finishing touches to our images.\nJoin Hunt’s Photo Education for a course that helps answer many of these questions. Often\, Lightroom users struggle with the inability to determine what changes are “good” or “correct”. While those terms are subjective\, we will help you along in the editing process to see how to make determinations along the way.\nThis is a Multi-Session Class! In Week 1\, we’ll start with the basic adjustments using Basic Development controls. More than anything\, we will be emphasizing global changes and understanding what can be done with an image in Lightroom. We’ll then dive into Color\, Curves\, Contrast & Clarity & Texture. These changes will help make your images pop. In Week 2\, we’ll discuss advanced editing\, including local adjustments\, such as radial and graduated filters\, and how to “finish” the image- sharpening\, noise reduction\, and more.\nIn-between each session\, we will give assignments to help you become more proficient and grasp the material! This class is strongly recommended for anyone looking to further their skills with Lightroom! \n \nAn important note about this course! There are now a few different versions of Adobe Lightroom right now. This course is specifically on Adobe Lightroom Classic. The other version of Lightroom\, commonly known as “Adobe Lightroom CC” (yes\, we understand you may be confused by this) is a more mobile and cloud-based program. The look and feel of the program is completely different– This course is specifically on Adobe Lightroom Classic. (See graphic on the right.) If you are unsure\, feel free to email us at classes@huntsphoto.com. Important: If you are taking this course\, make sure to download/update the program in advance\, as you will not be able to download the program at the store. Older versions\, such as Lightroom 5 or 6\, are also acceptable\, though not all functions will be available. \n \nCurious which Adobe plan to get? We recommend the 20GB Photography Plan\, detailed in the screenshot on the left. You can find it here!

SUMMARY:Print Review Monthly: Printing in Monochrome
DESCRIPTION:Introduction on Printing in Monochrome- Thursday November 12th\, 6:30pm ET • Online! \nPrint Review- Thursday November 19th\, 6pm ET • Hunt’s Melrose or Online! \nThe printed image shows our successes and our faults at a much higher level of detail than the digital image. To become better photographers\, it helps to understand this by creating the printed image as a final product. \nThis Month’s Printed Vision Session: Printing in Monochrome \nMonochrome literally means “one color”. This generally refers to classic black and white\, in which all other color is stripped away and we’re left with the beautiful and simple image at its core.  However\, monochrome can also refer to an image that is printed with a different hue than black\, such as blue\, brown (sepia)\, or other tones. \nIn this class\, we will discuss printing in monochrome\, from black & white to blue & white to brown & white and beyond. Which images and papers work? We will workshop your images to make a different concept! \nThis Print Review topic will meet for two sessions. In the first session\, we will discuss the topic– some of the key differences between paper surfaces– and present a variety of options for you to have your image printed. In between sessions 1 and 2\, attendees will independently process 1-2 images and submit them to the instructor for printing. Educator Paul Nelson will produce a recorded image review\, discussing paper options\, editing suggestions\, and more\, to be sent back to you leading up to the second session. Paul will then print images for the class. In the end\, you will receive a print of one of your edited images up to 13×19″ in size. (Please note: We are happy to make a larger or additional print outside of the class for an additional fee!) \nJoin us for an informative Printed Review class! \nA Note About The Printed Review Series \nOur Print Review Monthly is a chance to continue the print conversation over the course of many months. These sessions are excellent for anyone: \n• Someone that wants a little help with editing before they get a print \n• Someone that does print but has print-related questions \n• A person that prints often and wants to try a different paper \n• Someone with no knowledge of printing that just wants to get a print! \n  \nCome check out why printing is the best thing to do for your photography! \n  \nIn-Person or Online \nThis class will be taking place in-person in our Melrose store location and online\, in case you cannot attend live. If you cannot attend live\, your print can either be mailed to you or picked up at one of our Hunt’s Photo store locations.
