SUMMARY:Hunt's Photo Adventure: Birding Along the Space Coast
DESCRIPTION:Florida is considered by many to be a mecca of bird photography.? In addition to the abundance of birdlife in the state\, the birds are quite approachable and easy to photograph. We will explore some prime birding locations\, including the famed Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge and the Orlando Wetlands.? But in addition to these bird photography locations\, there are several other lesser-known\, nearby sites where the photography is simply spectacular.? This trip will occur at a time of year when many birds will be in breeding plumage (and exhibiting some breeding behavior).? You can expect to photograph a variety of species including; egrets\, herons\, ibis\, terns\, plovers\, gallinules\, oystercatchers\, osprey\, pelicans\, wood storks\, roseate spoonbills\, ducks\, black skimmers and much more.\nWe will maximize our time in the field shooting a multitude of subjects as well as incorporating classroom instruction\, critiques\, and photographic discussion each day.\nGeneral Itinerary:\nArrive March 20.  Check into hotel in by 2pm. Meet\, Greet\, Sunset Shoot\nMarch 21\, 22\, 23\, 24 – Daily excursions to birding locations dependent upon light and weather\nLeave March 25. We will experience longer days as well as limited walking.\nDuring this workshop we will cover:\nExposure\nComposition\nMetering\nUse of Lenses\nSubject Development\nCreative Thinking\nShooting in Low Light\nImage Review\nImage Critiquing\nRecommended gear:\nCamera\, memory cards\, batteries\nA variety of lenses Wide angle\, standard\, and\, of course\, telephoto and super-telephoto zoom lenses (If you are looking for a lens to rent\, you can rent it from us at?rentals.huntsphoto.com!)\nTripod/monopod\nCable release\nPolarizers and Neutral Density filters if you have them\nTravel information\nOne should plan for flight arrival between 12 and 2pm on the first day of the workshop.?We recommend flying into Orlando International Airport (MCO).\nWe will be completing our trip on Sunday in the mid-morning. Flights should be scheduled for early to mid-afternoon.\nPlease note:?Due to the variety of times attendees will be arriving\, we will be unable to pick up attendees from the airport\, which is about 45 minutes away. In the weeks leading up to this adventure\, we will try to connect attendees that may be arriving at similar times in order to share rides through car rental or taxi/Uber/Lyft. SUMMARY:Hunt's Photo Adventure: Mid-Coast Maine- Lighthouses and Steam Trains
DESCRIPTION:The coast of Maine is distinctive\, beautiful\, and highly photogenic. The many small towns of Mid Coast Maine are home to a dramatic shoreline\, quaint fishing harbors\, and dramatic lighthouses. Over the course of this short weekend workshop\, we will photograph Pemaquid Point Lighthouse at sunset and other locations along the coast. We will also photograph the Wiscasset Steam Railway for one of its steam train events.\nEach location we will photograph makes for a dynamic destination that will challenge photographers of every skill level.
