SUMMARY:Hunt's Photo Adventure: Vermont in Winter
DESCRIPTION:Workshop Description \nIn any season\, Vermont is a highly photogenic\, bucolic combination of rural atmosphere and classic New England scenes. Red barns\, covered bridges\, rolling landscapes\, and abstract formations of ice make Vermont appealing even during winter. Winter is a challenging season for all photographers\, but it also provides ample opportunity for beautiful and rewarding images. We will explore several areas around Woodstock Vermont that challenge and reward photographers of all skill levels. \nSome Locations We Will Explore:\nQueechee\nWoodstock\nJenne Farm\nThe Sugar Shack\nCountry Stores\nBillings Farm \nWe will maximize our time in the field shooting a multitude of subjects as well as incorporating classroom instruction\, critiques\, and photographic assignments each day. \nSkill Sets: All Levels of Photographers are Welcome\nPhysical Activity: Low to Medium. We will experience longer days as well as limited walking. \nDuring this workshop we will cover:\n• Exposure\n• Composition\n• Metering\n• Use of Lenses\n• Subject Development\n• Creative Thinking\n• Shooting in Low Light\n• Long Exposures\n• Use of Filters (polarizers and ND)\n• Image Processing\n• Image Review\n• Image Critiquing \nWhat’s included:\n•In-field instruction at each location\n•Image Discussion and Review \nWhat’s not included:\n•Cost of lodging (We will be staying and meeting at the Quality Inn 5817 Woodstock Rd\, Quechee\, VT 802-295-7600)\n•Cost of food\n•Transportation to and from Vermont\n•Please note: We will carpool to minimize on the amount of vehicles \nRecommended gear:\nCamera\, memory cards\, batteries\nA variety of lenses Wide angle\, standard\, and\, of course\, and telephoto zoom lenses (If you are looking for a lens to rent\, you can rent it from us at rentals.huntsphoto.com!)\nTripod\nCable release\nPolarizers and Neutral Density filters if you have them \nTravel information\nPlease be aware that you will need transportation to and from Vermont. SUMMARY:Hunt's Photo Adventure: Mid-Coast Maine in Winter- Lighthouses and Steam Trains
DESCRIPTION:The coast of Maine is distinctive\, beautiful\, and highly photogenic. The many small towns of Mid Coast Maine are home to a dramatic shoreline\, quaint fishing harbors\, and dramatic lighthouses. Over the course of this short weekend workshop\, we will photograph Pemaquid Point Lighthouse at sunset and other locations along the coast. We will also photograph the Wiscasset Steam Railway for one of its steam train events.\nEach location we will photograph makes for a dynamic destination that will challenge photographers of every skill level.
