SUMMARY:Hunt's Photo Adventure: The Scottish Highlands
DESCRIPTION:Workshop Description\nThe mountainous region of northwest Scotland\, known as the Scottish Highlands\, is a landscape photographer’s delight. The Highlands\, created centuries ago by fire and ice\, are an inspiring mix of dramatic mountains\, moody lakes\, and dynamic light. The scenery here is simply stunning. Our journey through the Highlands will also take us through quaint villages\, ancient castles\, renowned distilleries\, and more. By design\, we will explore the rugged landscapes of the Highlands while also enjoying the best of Scotland’s proud culture too. Undoubtedly\, the Scottish Highlands will ignite your passion for adventure and creativity.  \nGeneral Itinerary \nAttendees should look for an overnight flight to Edinburgh on Oct 30th\, arriving Oct 1st. Arriving in Edinburgh about noon or earlier is desirable. Once at the hotel we will drop luggage and gear and set out to explore. If you plan to arrive earlier than Oct 31st\, you must make your hotel reservations.  \nOct 31\, 2025 – \n• Arrive Edinburgh Airport. Taxi to Hotel (Apex Grassmarket Hotel- Address: 31-35 Grassmarket\, Edinburgh EH1 2HS\, United Kingdom)  \n• Approx. 1pm: Afternoon/Evening shoot around historic Edinburgh and have Dinner (dinner NOT included in price of workshop) \nNov 1\, 2025 – 10am – Depart for Glencoe (Isle of Glencoe Hotel\, Nr Fort William\, Glencoe PH49 4JY\, United Kingdom)  \nNov 1 – 4  \n• While in Glencoe we will explore various local areas of interest for landscapes\, nature\, and culture \n• Please note that weather conditions and light can/may change our itinerary \nNov 4\, 2025\, 9am – Depart of Isle of Skye (Cuillins Hotel\, Scorrybreac Rd\, Portree IV51 9QU\, United Kingdom)  \nNov 4 – 8  \n• While on the Isle of Skye we will explore the village of Portree\, Old Man of Storr\, Kilt Rock\, Quiraing\, Duntulm Castle\, Uig\, Elgin\, Fairy Pools\, and more \n• Please note that weather conditions and light can/may change our itinerary \nNov 8 – 9am – Depart for Edinburgh (Hampton Inn By Edinburgh Airport\, 5 Almond Avenue\, Edinburgh\, EH12 9GN).  Dinner in hotel that night NOT included.  \nNov 9 – Flights home  \nYour trip includes: \nWorkshop Lodging Food (unless where noted) Local Transportation  \nYour trip does not include: \nInternational Flights Cancellation/Travel Insurance (Strongly recommended) Alcoholic drinks Gratuity at any hotels\, etc  \nAccommodations \nApex Grassmarket Hotel (1 night)\nIsle of Glencoe (3 nights)\nCullin Hills Hotel (4 nights)\nHampton Inn\, Edinburgh (1 night)  \nYour passport will be required for this workshop.  \nSkill Sets: Photographers of all levels are welcome. SUMMARY:Hunt's Photo Adventure: Autumn in New Orleans & The Louisiana Bayou
DESCRIPTION:Workshop Description \nHunt’s Photo Adventure leaders Bob Fletcher and Jeff Swinger invite you to a unique Photo Adventure to New Orleans & the Louisiana Bayou. The trip will have a variety of subjects\, from street photography and architecture to wildlife and swampy landscapes! \nDuring the first two days\, we will explore the French Quarter\, Bourbon Street\, the Garden District\, and the Gothic above-ground cemetery that you have seen so often on television and in movies. We will photograph architecture and street performers\, ride on an historic streetcar\, and enjoy the warm ambiance of New Orleans. \nFor the remaining days\, prepare yourself for an adventure through the swamps and bayous of Louisiana! You will embark on your journey in a custom-built vessel with a covered roof to keep you dry and cool. Tours are narrated by Capt. Billy Gaston–born and raised in the Bayou. Hotel reservations have been secured for the group in New Orleans and Morgan City\, LA. This essential information will be shared during the registration process once full payment for the workshop has been completed. After that\, please contact the hotels directly and provide them with your name and credit card details to finalize your room reservation. \nAbout Weather \nNovember brings comfortable temperatures in Louisiana\, with lows in the 50’s and highs in the mid-70s\, ideal for exploring and photographing outdoors.\nParticipants should use ONE (1) soft-sided rolling duffle for luggage and ONE (1) camera case.  Pack conservatively as the portage room is limited. \nPayments\nA non-refundable deposit of $500 is required upon registration to secure a spot. The remaining balance is due 60 days before the start of the workshop.
