SUMMARY:Hunt's Photo Adventure: Shadows & Red Rock Roads: Chasing the Desert Glow in Arches & Canyonlands National Parks
DESCRIPTION:Workshop Description\nLocated in Eastern Utah is the small town of Moab. The landscape here embodies the look and feel of the American West. Given its location between Arches National Park and Canyonlands National Park\, Moab is a prime destination for all levels of photographers. These areas\, as well as others\, will provide our group with dramatic landscapes featuring bold\, red rock formations and stunning light that shapes the land in a mystical way. \nItinerary (The Itinerary is subject to change based on weather\, road conditions and any unforeseen factors) \nMonday\, December 1– Arrival & Sunset Shoot \n-Meet at Salt Lake City (SLC) airport no later than 12:00 noon. Drive to Moab and check into the hotel.  If time permits\, we will photograph sunset at a scenic location near Moab. Group dinner and orientation. \nTuesday\, December 2- Arches National Park – Iconic Landscapes \n-Early morning departure for sunrise photography near Moab. Breakfast in town\, then spend the day exploring Arches National Park. Capture stunning rock formations\, dramatic light\, and intricate arches. Sunset at Delicate Arch\, one of the park’s most iconic locations. Return to Moab for dinner and group discussion. \nWednesday\, December 3- Canyonlands National Park – Mesa Arch & Beyond \n– Sunrise shoot at Mesa Arch\, a world-renowned location for morning light. Breakfast & lunch at Island in the Sky\, with breathtaking canyon vistas. Descend into the canyons for a unique perspective of this vast landscape. Dinner in Moab and optional evening photo review. \nThursday\, December 4- Dead Horse Point & Arches National Park \n– Morning session at Dead Horse Point\, capturing its dramatic overlooks. Return to Moab for brunch and a mid-day break. Spend the afternoon in Arches National Park\, photographing various arches and formations. Sunset session in a carefully chosen location to maximize light and composition. \nFriday\, December 5- Off-Road Adventure & Post-Processing \n– Morning guided off-road Jeep adventure\, accessing remote photography locations. Experience rugged landscapes and unique compositions off the beaten path. Afternoon dedicated to post-production and image review\, with guidance on editing techniques. \nSaturday\, December 6– Final Sunrise & Departure \n– Capture one last local sunrise near Moab.  Breakfast at the hotel and check-out. Drive back to Salt Lake City\, ensuring ample time for flights. Plan departure flights after 3:00 PM to allow for a smooth return journey. \n  \nWe look forward to an incredible photography adventure in Moab! \n  \nWhat’s included: \n· In-field instruction throughout the entire workshop \n· Post-production time using Adobe Lightroom and Adobe Photoshop \n· Image reviews and critiques\, as requested \n· All local vehicle transportation and 0ff-road vehicles with a local guide \n  \nWhat’s not included: \n· Flight and baggage to and from Salt Lake City airport (SLC) \n· Lodging \n· Meals \n· Tips to our local off-road guide \n  \nSkill Sets: All Levels of Photographers are Welcome \nPhysical Activity: Low to Mild\, mostly just walking \n  \nIn this workshop\, we will cover: \n· Exposure \n· Composition \n· Use of Lenses \n· Subject Development \n· Creative Thinking \n  \nRecommended gear:\nCamera\, memory cards\, batteries\nWide angle\, standard\, and telephoto lenses (If you are looking for a lens to rent\, you can rent it from us atrentals.huntsphoto.com!)\nTripod\nCable release\nPolarizers and Neutral Density filters if you have them \nTravel information\nWe recommend flying into Salt Lake City airport (SLC). We will be making a bulk pickup of attendees at the airport at noon. It is a 4-hour drive from SLC to Moab. We are listed as the “Hunt’s Photo Group”. \nAbout Weather\nDecember brings cooler temperatures to Moab\, with lows in the mid-20’s and highs in the 50’s\, ideal for exploring and photographing outdoors. Participants should bring clothing for cool to cold weather. Pack conservatively as the portage room is limited. \nImportant things to keep in mind:\n• Bring clothing suited for a variety of temperatures\, from cold mornings to warm afternoons. Also be prepared for potential rain and for changing weather.\n• We will be photographing from 4000 to 6000 ft elevation. Normally\, the only problem you can expect is a slight shortness of breath. However\, the higher elevation is something to keep in mind if you live at sea level or you are prone to encountering physical difficulties at higher elevations. \nPayments\nA non-refundable deposit of 25% of the total cost of the trip is required upon sign-up to secure a spot. The remaining balance is due 45 days prior to the workshop. We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance.

SUMMARY:Hunt's Photo Adventure: Bosque del Apache National Wildlife Refuge (with optional White Sands Extension!)
DESCRIPTION:Bosque Del Apache National Wildlife Refuge\, located in the Rio Grande Valley of New Mexico\, has been a prime destination for bird photographers for decades. The wildlife refuge here is a series of man-made waterways\, fields\, and woodlands established to create habitat and food for migratory birds such as Sandhill Cranes and Snow Geese. Each year\, thousands of these bird’s rest and forage here for weeks during their annual migration. Photography opportunities for birds\, other wildlife\, and landscapes are plentiful\, exciting\, and very rewarding. Photographers of all levels will be challenged by the diversity of subjects as well as the unique beauty that is New Mexico.\nIn addition to photographing wildlife\, this year we will be adding in an extension to White Sands National Park\, only a short drive away. White Sands is unique for its stunning and minimal landscapes and are an added bonus for photographers of every skill level. \nAttendees are encouraged to arrive either the day prior to the workshop or early enough on the first day of the workshop with time to drive from Albuquerque to Socorro (90 minutes) \nItinerary\nDec 7 or 8– Arrive in Albuquerque. DESCRIPTION:White Sands National Park in New Mexico is unique for its stunning and minimal landscapes. The National Park holds 275 square miles of desert\, flowing dunes of gypsum sand that are excellent for landscape photographers and those looking to create abstracts.
