SUMMARY:Hunt's Photo Adventure: Great Smoky Mountain National Park
DESCRIPTION:Workshop Description\nSpring time in Great Smoky Mountain National Park is a photographer?s paradise. The Smokies are renowned for their diversity of nature\, abundant plant and wildlife\, rushing streams\, and ancient mountains. The month of April reveals many beautiful aspects of Spring throughout the park as we explore and pursue a variety of subject matter. In Cades Cove\, we will explore the cultural elements of the mountain people. Along Tremont\, we will expand our creativity by photographing rushing water and quiet landscapes. Throughout the park there is an abundance of wildflowers and wildlife to enjoy. From the top of Clingman?s Dome\, we will capture mountain vista?s that are breathtaking. Each day\, we will work on concepts of Subject Development\, Exposure\, Image Composition\, Architectural Photography\, Black and White Photography\, Low Light Photography\, and Long Exposures. There is nothing quite like the Great Smoky Mountains.\nWe will maximize our time in the field with hands on instruction as well as incorporating group discussion\, classroom instruction\, and image review during the workshop. SUMMARY:Hunt's Photo Adventure: Wild Horses in Utah
DESCRIPTION:Workshop Description\nJoin Hunt’s Photo Education for our second time traveling to photograph the Wild Horses of Utah! Join us for four days of in-field photography and instruction as we search out and photograph one of the herds of wild horses in Utah!\nThis is a unique photography workshop right out of ?The Old West?! Wild Horses have occupied this mountainous region of Utah since the late 1800?s. The herd is approximately 200 ? 250 horses and is the largest herd of wild horses in the west. Mares and stallions average around 800 to 1000 pounds. The colors within the herd are brown\, bay\, paint\, sorrel\, roan\, buckskin\, black\, palomino\, and gray. The variety is endless due to the frequent breeding within the herd. There are many foal\, yearlings and colts that roam with the herd. The horses are in good condition and are frequently seen in the vicinity of the Pony Express Trail in the valley floor. On this workshop\, we will photograph the wild horses as well as other local scenes and wildlife.\nOn this workshop\, you will want to bring a variety of lenses\, from wide-angle to super-telephoto. The distance to your subjects can vary\, as the horses can be right next to you or far in the distance\, but it is certainly recommended to consider bringing a super-telephoto in the range of 500-600mm. Please keep in mind that you can always rent lenses from?Hunt’s Rentals?and at a decent cost!\nWe will maximize our time in the field shooting a multitude of subjects as well as incorporating classroom instruction\, critiques\, and photographic assignments each day.\nWhat?s included:\n? SUMMARY:Hunt's Photo Adventure: Mid-Coast Maine- Lighthouses and Steam Trains
DESCRIPTION:The coast of Maine is distinctive\, beautiful\, and highly photogenic. The many small towns of Mid Coast Maine are home to a dramatic shoreline\, quaint fishing harbors\, and dramatic lighthouses. Over the course of this short weekend workshop\, we will photograph Pemaquid Point Lighthouse at sunset and other locations along the coast. We will also photograph the Wiscasset Steam Railway for one of its steam train events.\nEach location we will photograph makes for a dynamic destination that will challenge photographers of every skill level.

SUMMARY:Hunt's Photo Adventure: Birding Along the Space Coast
DESCRIPTION:Florida is considered by many to be a mecca of bird photography.? In addition to the abundance of birdlife in the state\, the birds are quite approachable and easy to photograph. We will explore some prime birding locations\, including the famed Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge and the Orlando Wetlands.? But in addition to these bird photography locations\, there are several other lesser-known\, nearby sites where the photography is simply spectacular.? This trip will occur at a time of year when many birds will be in breeding plumage (and exhibiting some breeding behavior).? DESCRIPTION:Join Hunt’s Photo Adventures for our second trip to the ?Land of Fire and Ice?! Led by instructors Robert Fletcher and Jeff Swinger\, this workshop will take you into a land in a way you have likely never experienced? the winter! This will give you a unique look to the land of the largest glaciers and most active volcanoes in Europe!\nIceland in winter is a unique place\, with frozen waterfalls\, beautiful ice caves\, glaciers & frozen lagoons\, and of course the fantastic Northern Lights ? Aurora Borealis. In 1999\, he was asked to become a ?Stringer? for Canon USA and has been in that position since then. It has led Robert towards teaching\, leading workshops and sharing his life-long passion with others. He always looks forward to sharing his knowledge of photography with those who are anxious to learn.\nJeff Swinger?boasts nearly 30 years of professional experience built upon his passion for telling stories through images. He honed his skills over 16 years with The Cincinnati Enquirer covering news and sports and has covered four Olympic Games for USA Today Sports. Additionally\, Jeff works as an educational contributor and freelance Pro Market Representative for Canon USA and travels domestically and internationally conducting photo tours and workshops. DESCRIPTION:Workshop Description\nThe forests and woodlands around Millinocket Maine are a vast and rugged region in any season\, but especially so in winter. Snow\, ice\, and wind sculpt the landscape into dramatic scenes waiting to be seen and discovered. Winter is a challenging season for photography\, but the image rewards can be uniquely beautiful for every hearty photographer. Just outside of Millinocket\, The Golden Road serves as an unpaved highway into the heart of some very remote areas. Each day we will leave the comfort of our private\, cozy cabins and explore areas along the Golden Road for inspiring views of Mount Kathadin\, forests\, wilderness ponds\, the Penobscot River\, and the always present chance of encountering a wide array of wildlife.\nWe will maximize our time in the field shooting a multitude of subjects as well as incorporating classroom instruction\, critiques\, and image review during the workshop.\nSkill Sets: All Levels of Photographers are Welcome\nPhysical Activity: Medium. SUMMARY:Hunt's Photo Adventure: Winter in the White Mountains
DESCRIPTION:Adventure Description\nJoin Hunt’s Photo Education for a short weekend photographing in the White Mountains in Central New Hampshire! We will start photographing on Friday at Diana?s Baths in North Conway in the morning. We will continue along to the Swift River until late in the afternoon\, then have dinner and an image review where we will discuss the day. On Saturday\, we will work our way along ?the Kanc?\, including Sabbaday Falls\, the Basin and more. The workshop will conclude at about 3pm on Saturday.\nOn this workshop\, we will discuss numerous aspects of photography\, including subject development\, exposure\, black and white photography\, composition\, and more!
