DESCRIPTION:Come join professional nature photographer\, Roman Kurywczak\, as he leads you on a photo experience through the Stone Zoo\, sponsored by Tamron Lenses and Hunt’s Photo.\nIn this experience\, Roman will cover topics such as proper camera settings for changing lighting conditions\, capturing moving animals\, composition\, lens selection\, and much more. A basic knowledge of changing your camera f/stop\, shutter speed\, & ISO\, is encouraged\, but all levels of experience are welcome. A lens in the 400-600mm range is recommended for this photo walk\, and a Tamron representative will be on-hand providing free loaner lenses should you need one? or wish to try out an alternative to what you already own!\nBring your camera\, a fully charged battery\, a memory card\, and a lens in the 400-600mm range. Roman is teaching handheld. DO NOT BRING A TRIPOD OR MONOPOD AS THEY ARE NOT ALLOWED IN THE ZOO. The walking trails are pretty even\, but this is an outdoor event so take adequate precautions and wear comfortable shoes. This is a weather permitting event\, subject to change.\nRoman has taught these techniques for the last 20+ years. His philosophy is to keep it simple. Come join Hunt’s\, Tamron\, and Roman for this special experience.\nPlease note: There are two time options- 10am and 12pm. Please make sure to register for the correct time! Entrance to the zoo is included in the cost of your ticket.

DESCRIPTION:Light Painting has a number of variations– creating patterns\, illuminating a space\, or literally ?drawing? with light?all during long-exposures. Join representatives from Canon ?after hours? as we experience painting with light outside our Hunt’s Photo\, Melrose store location. We will begin with an informational session in the classroom while waiting for it to get dark\, and then head outside to work for a few hours with different ?stations?\, one of which will include live models!\nAnyone who attends the Light Painting event is invited the next day to come back to the Canon Section at the Hunt’s Melrose store to receive a free 13X19 Print of their favorite image taken from the prior evening’s Light Painting event on a Canon Pixma Pro Printer!\nPlease note: Rain Date for this experience will be Saturday\, November 5th\, 5-8pm.

DESCRIPTION:Join professional nature photographer\, Roman Kurywczak\, for a hands-on reptile photo shoot with Hunt’s Photo\, Tamron Lenses\, and Reptile Shows of New England. Roman will share technical tips and tricks needed for handheld close-up photography\, which will allow you to achieve consistently tack sharp images\, all in a single frame?and all without the need for a tripod! Topics will include specific camera settings\, lens selection\, overcoming distracting backgrounds\, using flash to properly balance exposure and achieve dramatic results\, and traditional and non-traditional gear hacks to maximize your time spent photographing your subjects.\nA Tamron representative will be on-hand providing free loaner lenses with incredible close-up capabilities in a variety of focal lengths.\nParticipants should bring a camera with a fully charged battery\, memory card\, any lens in the 18-400mm range (or borrow a Tamron lens!) and a flash. Group sizes for this workshop will be limited to allow everyone an opportunity to capture images of the various reptiles on display.
