SUMMARY:Analog Love: Using Film & Film Cameras- Hunt's Photo Boston
DESCRIPTION:For generations\, analog film (35mm\, 120\, 4×5 and more) ruled the photographic world. But since the turn of the century and the advent of the digital SLR (DSLR)\, the photographic world has taken a sharp turn away from film and towards digital technology. However\, despite the loss of many major company film stocks\, many interesting\, new film stocks have entered the market and film has remained a unique\, niche product with a distinctive look.\nDuring this session\, we will discuss the essential aspects of 35mm film\, including how to properly load film into the camera\, how to properly expose images in your camera\, and other aspects to consider when shooting. Primarily\, we will focus on black & white\, but will also discuss color and slide films.\nPlease note: There are a lot of film cameras that have existed on the market\, and while we know about how to use most of them\, we don’t claim to know about all of them! If you know your film camera model\, please write it in on the registration screen.

SUMMARY:Analog Love: Developing Black & White Film- Hunt's Photo Boston
DESCRIPTION:Join Hunt’s Photo Education as we discuss all the key elements of loading and developing film\, and get you to develop a roll on your own! In this workshop\, we will show you how to load film into a developing tank\, discuss the elements of the chemistry involved\, and other various aspects. Because of the many variables\, we will only be using one specific type of developer\, but we will discuss the possibilities of other developers available and their advantages.\nWe will provide tanks\, reels\, chemistry\, and basically anything that you need to develop your film. All you will need to have is a roll of film to develop. Important: Make sure the roll of film is black & white and not C-41.\nPlease note: Since your film will be wet at the end of the session\, you will leave it to dry and pick it up at a later time.
