SUMMARY:Online: The Printed Vision- Printing on Rice Paper! (Print Review)
DESCRIPTION:Presentation: Wednesday April 24th\, 7pm • Online! \nPrinted Image Review: Thursday May 2nd\, 6-8pm • In our Hunt’s Melrose store or Online! \nAbout The Printed Vision Series\nThe printed image shows our successes and our faults at a much higher level of detail than the digital image. To become better photographers\, it helps to understand this by creating the printed image as a final product. \nEach Printed Vision topic will meet for two sessions. In the first session\, we will discuss the topic and elaborate on editing with examples. This will include discussion of exposure\, dynamic range and color\, but also deeper points\, such as noise reduction\, image sharpening and grain. In between sessions 1 and 2\, attendees will independently process 1-2 images and submit them to the instructor for printing. We will print one of the two images leading into the second session and discuss some of the challenges we face in printing them.\nYou do not need to produce a new image for this class and can go into your archives to print\, but you are welcome to go out into the field and create something new based on the topic! \nThis Month’s Printed Vision Session: Printing on Rice Paper! \nRice paper is a style of paper that is delicate\, unique\, and tells a story! This is a fabulous style of paper that is underutilized in the printing world but can ultimately produce stellar and very different images!\nIn this class\, we will discuss the advantages (and disadvantages) to printing on rice paper in our instructional online presentation\, held on the first date\, then workshop your images in order to make a print on rice paper. We will reconvene the following week for our Printed Image Review. You will have that time period in between to edit and submit your images. In the end\, you will receive a print on Rice Paper of your edited image up to 8.5 x 11 in size. \nJoin us for this unique Printed Vision class! \nReceiving Your Print\nAfter the class\, your print can either be mailed to you or picked up at one of our Hunt’s Photo store locations. \nRegistering and what is needed\nAfter you register for this class\, you will receive a confirmation email that will include information about how to access the online class\, including an online ID code that you will need to get into the class. Make sure to save this information. We will also send a reminder email about 24 hours prior to the class time with that same information. \nYou Are Being Recorded (And Other Note Related Items)\nWe will be recording this class! The video will be available for download about 24-hours after the class for all attendees\, so don?t worry about taking unending notes. We will send this link attendees to download and rewatch at any time.

Join us for this class that goes over how to get started with video editing and the dos and don’ts that’ll help make your content stand out with truly professional vibes. \nIn this two-part class\, we will cover the following: \n• File management- How to safely organize your files\n• Setting up the project- From creating the project\, to formatting your timeline\, to understanding codecs\, file types\, and frame rates!\n• Importing video and audio files\n• Editing on your timeline- From placing a single video file and cutting the length to layering footage and creating transitions (plus many of the basic tools)\n• Working with audio and audio transitions\n• Exporting your file\n\nPlease keep in mind that Premiere can be a vast program and our Intro to Premiere is just that: An Intro to Premiere Pro.\n\nWe strongly recommend having Adobe Premiere Pro to take this class.
