DESCRIPTION:This is a great opportunity to build up your editing skills in Lightroom!\nAdobe Lightroom is the choice program for professionals and amateurs\, with ever-growing capabilities and options. However\, there are many levels to understanding in the program. How do we organize our photos? What do we do to make basic changes? Once we learn those changes\, how can we ?step it up? and figure out what to we?re supposed to do? How do we make images pop? And finally\, how do we put it all together and making finishing touches to our images.\nJoin Hunt’s Photo Education for a course that helps answer many of these questions. Often\, Lightroom users struggle with the inability to determine what changes are ?good? or ?correct?. While those terms are subjective\, we will help you along in the editing process to see how to make determinations along the way.\nThis is a Multi-Session Class! In Week 1\, we will begin by discussing how to organize your images for quick retrieval via keywords\, ratings\, and more\, as well as giving a description on how to consider organizing your photos on your computer. Specifically\, we will cover brief computer file management\, the importance of keywords\, flagging and rating photos\, and searching metadata to find images. In Week 2\, we?ll start with the basic adjustments using Basic Development controls. More than anything\, we will be emphasizing global changes and understanding what can be done with an image in Lightroom. We?ll then dive into Color\, Curves\, Contrast & Clarity & Texture. DESCRIPTION:Join Hunt’s Photo Education and Westcott lighting representative JC Carey for another entry in our series of portrait workshops where we will be creating dynamic lighting scenarios involving athletes\, both posed and in motion! Attendees will learn about how to create amazing portraits using a mixture of natural light and flash\, understand subject placement\, when and why to use strobes (and where to place them)\, and will end up with some excellent portfolio-building images! \nThis workshop will be co-taught with Hunt’s Photo Education’s Paul Nelson and Westcott lighting representative JC Carey.  We will use Westcott strobes and have a series of student/athlete-models available for the shoot. \nJoin us for a fun and dynamic workshop! \nJoseph “JC” Carey is a lifetime image maker that like so many photographers was terrified of lighting until he was gifted with a lighting class in 2007. The class wasn’t very good\, but it lit a fire. That gift changed everything. It transformed him from someone that barely took pictures of people and knew nothing about lighting into someone still trying to figure out how to light everything.

Our patient and entertaining instructors will cover all the basics in this hands-on class\, including changing depth-of-field (controlling what?s in focus in the background)\, stopping or blurring the action in your scene\, and many other basic picture-taking techniques.\nOur two guarantees:\n?You will learn a lot!\n?You will have a fun time doing it!\nSome character references: \n\n?I was impressed with how well the class was run\, the amount of material covered so thoroughly and how all different camera types were incorporated without it causing issues. I was really impressed with the whole experience. Great instructors!!?\n?Everything was condensed and taught at a basic level which helped with the confusion I had before coming to class. Bottom Line: Great class for confused beginners.?\n?Everything about this class was excellent. The instructors were patient and took time to answer every question thoroughly and we were given ample time to try out the techniques we were being shown. All in all\, a wonderful experience.?\n?Very much liked the instructors- knowledgeable\, entertaining\, encouraging\, not judgmental. Loved the casual nature of the class and opportunity for one-on-one discussions. Excellent for me\, as a novice.?

The other version of Lightroom\, commonly known as “Adobe Lightroom CC” (yes\, we understand you may be confused by this) is a more mobile and cloud-based program. The look and feel of the program is completely different– This course is specifically on Adobe Lightroom Classic. (See graphic on the right.) DESCRIPTION:Presentation: Wednesday April 24th\, 7pm • Online! \nPrinted Image Review: Thursday May 2nd\, 6-8pm • In our Hunt’s Melrose store or Online! \nAbout The Printed Vision Series\nThe printed image shows our successes and our faults at a much higher level of detail than the digital image. To become better photographers\, it helps to understand this by creating the printed image as a final product. \nEach Printed Vision topic will meet for two sessions. In the first session\, we will discuss the topic and elaborate on editing with examples. This will include discussion of exposure\, dynamic range and color\, but also deeper points\, such as noise reduction\, image sharpening and grain. In between sessions 1 and 2\, attendees will independently process 1-2 images and submit them to the instructor for printing. We will print one of the two images leading into the second session and discuss some of the challenges we face in printing them.\nYou do not need to produce a new image for this class and can go into your archives to print\, but you are welcome to go out into the field and create something new based on the topic! \nThis Month’s Printed Vision Session: Printing on Rice Paper! \nRice paper is a style of paper that is delicate\, unique\, and tells a story! This is a fabulous style of paper that is underutilized in the printing world but can ultimately produce stellar and very different images!\nIn this class\, we will discuss the advantages (and disadvantages) to printing on rice paper in our instructional online presentation\, held on the first date\, then workshop your images in order to make a print on rice paper. We will reconvene the following week for our Printed Image Review. You will have that time period in between to edit and submit your images. In the end\, you will receive a print on Rice Paper of your edited image up to 8.5 x 11 in size. \nJoin us for this unique Printed Vision class! \nReceiving Your Print\nAfter the class\, your print can either be mailed to you or picked up at one of our Hunt’s Photo store locations. \nRegistering and what is needed\nAfter you register for this class\, you will receive a confirmation email that will include information about how to access the online class\, including an online ID code that you will need to get into the class. Make sure to save this information. We will also send a reminder email about 24 hours prior to the class time with that same information. \nYou Are Being Recorded (And Other Note Related Items)\nWe will be recording this class!
