Photographers of all levels are welcome!The South Boston Waterfront\, commonly referred to as the ?Seaport District?\, is one of the fastest growing areas in Massachusetts. It holds the beautiful ICA Boston- Institute of Contemporary Art; the Seaport Hotel and World Trade Center; one of the first modern ?Innovation Districts?; the Harpoon Brewery and Taproom; and many hotels and nearly one hundred restaurants. It?s vibrant\, filled with people\, and truly fabulous to photograph. On this walk\, we will photograph at Fan Pier\, the ICA\, along the waterfront\, and more\, making use of evening light\, civil twilight\, and night time.

Photographers of all skill levels are welcome!\nHaverhill\, Massachusetts was once known as the “Queen Slipper City” for its high percentage of shoes produced in the town. The town retains the look of a manufacturing town\, and this look translates extremely well to the look of Black & White photography. On this walk\, we will move about the downtown area and along the Merrimack River at dusk and into the night. Our task will be to focus our energies into how to effectively see and create images in Black & White.

Rebecca teaches modern techniques for posing couples: Rather than static posing\, she will emphasize how to work with movement and casual posing to create a more natural look!\nFor this special workshop\, we will be photographing at The Newburyport Studio\, a rentable space in Newburyport with excellent natural lighting and a variety of props and posable chairs that are perfect for working with subjects in an intimate setting. If you’d like to learn a little bit about when to use flash\, we are also happy to teach that in the workshop\, but the focus will primarily be on shooting in natural light.\nRebecca’s expertise is in weddings and couples\, and this is a terrific opportunity to get some fantastic\, portfolio-building images!

These classes will make your mouth water!\nAnother entry in our Food Photography Series- Holiday-themed tasty treats to boost your holiday spirit!\nIn these hands-on workshops\, we will cover all aspects of food photography: exposure\, composition\, styling\, working with food\, lighting\, props\, and more.  In this workshop– Holiday Baked Goods (and more!)– we will specifically be working with…you guessed it! We will cover many of the basics for beginners and add challenges for more advanced food photographers. Baked goods are *easier* to work with than some of the other foods because of their stability as a product\, allowing us to spend more time “getting it right”. We will have the opportunity to also photograph other tasty sweets\, too!\nFor this workshop\, we will provide some baked goods and tasty sweets\, but photographers are welcome to bring their own baked goods as well! We will also provide lighting and diffusers. Photographers are welcome to bring their own additional props.\nAt the end of the workshop\, attendees will edit and process their images individually and submit 1-2 images to the instructors for review\, then print the images as 13×19″. This will be a fun and challenging workshop that will walk you through the full process of creating stellar holiday food imagery. The town is an eclectic mix of unique storefronts\, a beautiful harbor\, boats\, and a rich fishing tradition that offers a wide variety of photographic subjects.\nThis walk is an excellent opportunity both for those just starting out as well as the well-seasoned photographer. For those starting out\, there are many excellent opportunities to work on composition and subject development\, and also see how the light changes and affects your photographs throughout the evening. For the well-seasoned photographer\, Rockport has just so much of interest to offer that you can work on creating more complex compositions and other advanced themes in your work. This is truly one of the best places at any level to photograph.

We will reconvene a few days later for an online image review to discuss elements of your images.\nThe Personal Vision Series is a crossroads of many different ideas that we offer with Hunt’s Photo Education: Topic-based instruction/classes\, Photo Walks\, & Image Reviews. However\, unlike a Photo Walk where we will all take a certain direction\, for the ?Walk? portion\, you will be asked to journey out on your own to photograph. This will cause you to be the driving force of your creativity and vision!\nThis month?s topic is “Celebrate the Season”. We will have an instructional online presentation on the first date and will reconvene for our Image Review on the second date.
