Photographers of all skill levels are encouraged to attend!\nEffectively photographing holiday lights at night can be a challenge. However\, with proper exposure and balance of composition\, you have the ability to capture great detail and color through your lenses. Boston Common and the Gardens provide an excellent opportunity to to test out these skills. The Common gets decked out in holiday lights every year\, and combined with the natural beauty of the landscape\, we have a great chance for beautiful nightscapes! Join us for a terrific and beautiful experience!

During the walk\, we will discuss many of the aspects of photographing holiday lights and decorations in low light and at night\, including exposure\, focusing\, composition\, and more. Photographers of all levels are welcome!\nPortsmouth\, New Hampshire is a large eclectic town along the coast of NH. The town features a blend of new and old architecture amid a variety of shops\, restaurants\, docks\, boats\, and colors. The end of the day and night time is a rich and beautiful time for creating photographs. We will discuss and demonstrate various techniques for shooting in low light scenarios in and around Portsmouth using available light.

SUMMARY:Hunt's Photo Walk: The Longfellow Bridge & Memorial Drive
DESCRIPTION:Walk Description\nJoin Hunt’s Photo Education for a night photo walk along Memorial Drive featuring the Longfellow Bridge. During the walk\, we will discuss many of the aspects of photographing in low-light and at night\, including exposure\, focusing\, composition\, and more. Photographers of all levels are welcome!\nThe Longfellow Bridge\, sometimes referred to as the ?salt and pepper bridge? due to the shaker-like shape of the bridge?s pillars\, connects Boston?s Beacon Hill district with Kendall Square in Cambridge. The bridge has stood for over a century\, with major upgrades and renovations only occurring in the early 2010s. In late 2018\, the bridge was enhanced with new LED lighting\, bringing stunning new views to this unique structure. On this walk\, we will spend time photographing the Longfellow Bridge from numerous angles\, as well as areas along Memorial Drive\, making use of evening light\, civil twilight\, and night time.\n \n

It holds the beautiful ICA Boston- Institute of Contemporary Art; the Seaport Hotel and World Trade Center; one of the first modern ?Innovation Districts?; the Harpoon Brewery and Taproom; and many hotels and nearly one hundred restaurants. It?s vibrant\, filled with people\, and truly fabulous to photograph. On this walk\, we will photograph at Fan Pier\, the ICA\, along the waterfront\, and more\, making use of evening light\, civil twilight\, and night time.\n \n

Online!\nWalk Description\n\nJoin Hunt’s Photo Education?s Don Toothaker for a workshop and critique involving Dock Square during the evening hours in Kennebunkport\, Maine. In this workshop\, we will discuss numerous aspects of photography\, including subject development\, exposure\, black and white photography\, composition\, and more! Photographers of all levels are welcome!\nDuring our walk\, we will work around Dock Square. During the month of December\, Dock Square is dressed for the holidays with lights and a tree. It is a fun and unique place to photograph\, essential as any holiday walk.\nAfter the walk\, attendees will be asked to edit 2-3 images and submit them for our image review/critique\, which will happen the following week. We will discuss each attendee?s images and look at all the elements of photography discussed on the walk. Please note that this session will be recorded in case you cannot attend.

The emphasis of this walk is using filters?Neutral Density (ND) and Circular Polarizers (CPL) specifically. Photographers of all skill levels are encouraged to attend.\nNubble Light is a premiere destination for photographers. The Lighthouse is a simple beauty to behold\, with solid and simple colors that photograph well\, but under different lighting conditions can create vibrant\, striking images. Every year\, Nubble Light is decorated with very simple holiday lights that give the lighthouse a truly classic look that must be seen.\n

DESCRIPTION:Presentation: Friday November 26th\, 7-8pm ? Online!\nImage Review/Critique: Monday December 6th\, 7-9pm ? Online!\nJoin Hunt’s Photo Education as we help grow your knowledge\, creativity\, and artistic expression with our expanded Personal Vision Series. These classes are designed to provide you time\, opportunity\, and guidance in shaping your creative photographic voice. We will give an overview on a specific topic in an online class session\, then give you time to go into the field by yourself (or with someone else\, if you choose) to complete an assignment based on that topic. We will reconvene a few days later for an online image review to discuss elements of your images.\nThe Personal Vision Series is a crossroads of many different ideas that we offer with Hunt’s Photo Education: Topic-based instruction/classes\, Photo Walks\, & Image Reviews. However\, unlike a Photo Walk where we will all take a certain direction\, for the ?Walk? portion\, you will be asked to journey out on your own to photograph. This will cause you to be the driving force of your creativity and vision!\nThis week?s topic is People. We will have an instructional online presentation on the first date and will reconvene for our Image Review on the second date. You will have that time period in between to photograph and edit our assignment.\nYour personal creative voice is critical to your growth as a photographer and as an artist. Join us for to help grow that voice!\nRegistering and what is needed\nAfter you register for this class\, you will receive a confirmation email that will include information about how to access the online class\, including an online ID code that you will need to get into the class. Make sure to save this information. We will also send a reminder email about 24 hours prior to the class time with that same information.\n?You Are Being Recorded?
