SUMMARY:Holiday Macro & Tabletop Photography Workshop- Hunt's Photo Melrose
DESCRIPTION:Hunt’s Photo Education is proud to present our annual Holiday Macro & Tabletop Workshops. These workshops are designed to help you create\, compose\, and photograph stellar mini-holiday masterpieces. You will then create and photograph your compositions for the remainder of the time during the workshop\, with instructor assistance available. Our ultimate goal in this workshop is at least one “final piece” that can be printed on a large scale.\nAt the end of the workshop\, attendees will work edit and process their images individually and submit 1-2 images to the instructors for review\, then print the images as 13×19″.  (Please note: due to the time constraints of the class\, we will review and edit the images in the class\, but will print and hang them after the class.) These photographs will be hung in our Hunt’s Photo Gallery in Melrose for the month of December\, after which you will be given the print.\nThis will be a fun and challenging workshop that will walk you through the full process of creating stellar holiday macro imagery. We will stay with you during the editing process\, and even guide you in understanding the best processing for a final print. Join us for one of our favorite workshops of the year!

SUMMARY:Creative Portrait Shootout: A Hands-On Styled Portrait Experience- Hunt's Melrose
DESCRIPTION:Join Hunt’s Photo Education and Sony for a hands-on event with a trio of photographers (Sony Ambassador Tony Gale\, frequent Hunt’s Photo Education guest instructor Henry Marte\, and Hunt’s Photo Educator Paul Nelson) guiding you to capture amazing portraits! \nIn this Portrait Shootout\, we will have four unique portrait setups for you to photograph. Each setup will be a little different\, placing our models in unique scenery\, props and costumes. All setups will have lighting provided. The goal is to put you\, the photographer\, in front of as many opportunities to capture unique portraits. Through scenery\, props\, costumes\, atmosphere\, and lighting\, you’ll be able transform a simple portrait into a more complex story! You also don’t need to be an expert at any of these elements to participate. Many of these setups will be built\, so you don’t need to worry about knowing the lighting or even how to pose the model! However\, we will have enough instructors to describe how or why you light or pose a subject in a specific way\, if you want to know! \nThe Creative Portrait Shootout aims to inspire and invigorate photographers to create something amazing. Join us for this fantastic opportunity! \nThis event is sponsored by Sony\, but ALL photographers\, regardless what camera you have\, are encouraged to attend. Sony loaner gear (cameras and lenses) will be available for ANYONE interested! The settlement is complete with houses\, gardens\, animals\, and pilgrims that live and speak just as if it was 1627. The grounds\, homes\, and settlers make for wonderful studies in light\, architecture\, detail\, and portraiture. \nPlease note: The cost of your ticket does not include entrance to Plimoth Patuxet.
