SUMMARY:Hunt's Photo Walk: Charles River Museum of Industry & Innovation
DESCRIPTION:The Charles River Museum of Industry is currently housed in what is considered the first ever factory in America. In Waltham\, the closed factory now plays the role of housing a history of the tools and machinery used in industry. This walk is an excellent chance to photograph the grit of the previous centuries under the Industrial Revolution\, and is a chance to work in low-light environments where the lighting sources cannot be controlled and focus on macro photography. Join us for a wonderful experience!

SUMMARY:Still Life Photography Workshop- Hunt's Photo\, Portland

SUMMARY:Online: Personal Vision Series- Low Light
DESCRIPTION:Introductory Presentation Tuesday January 7th\, 7pm EST\nImage Review Tuesday January 21st\, 7pm EST \nJoin Hunt’s Photo Education as we help grow your knowledge\, creativity\, and artistic expression with our expanded Personal Vision Series. These classes are designed to provide you time\, opportunity\, and guidance in shaping your creative photographic voice. We will give an overview on a specific topic in an online class session\, then give you time to go into the field by yourself (or with someone else\, if you choose) to complete an assignment based on that topic. We will reconvene a few days later for an online image review to discuss elements of your images.\nThe Personal Vision Series is a crossroads of many different ideas that we offer with Hunt’s Photo Education: Topic-based instruction/classes\, Photo Walks\, & Image Reviews. However\, unlike a Photo Walk where we will all take a certain direction\, for the “Walk” portion\, you will be asked to journey out on your own to photograph. This will cause you to be the driving force of your creativity and vision!\nThis month’s topic is “Low Light”. We will have an instructional online presentation on the first date and will reconvene for our Image Review on the second date. You will have that time period in between to photograph and edit our assignment. Your personal creative voice is critical to your growth as a photographer and as an artist. Join us for to help grow that voice!

SUMMARY:Online: Personal Vision Series- Shadows
DESCRIPTION:Introductory Presentation Tuesday December 3rd\, 7pm EST\nImage Review Tuesday December 17th\, 7pm EST \nJoin Hunt’s Photo Education as we help grow your knowledge\, creativity\, and artistic expression with our expanded Personal Vision Series. This will cause you to be the driving force of your creativity and vision!\nThis month’s topic is “Shadows”. We will have an instructional online presentation on the first date and will reconvene for our Image Review on the second date. You will have that time period in between to photograph and edit our assignment. Your personal creative voice is critical to your growth as a photographer and as an artist. Join us for to help grow that voice!

SUMMARY:Hunt's Film Photo Workshop: The North End in the Morning
DESCRIPTION:Join Hunt’s Photo Educator Emily Hojnowski and photographer Tessa Klingensmith for a unique walk in the North End…with film cameras! \nOn this walk\, we will photograph around the North End utilizing your film cameras. (You can also bring a digital camera\, but the emphasis will be about shooting on film!) Amongst other topics\, we will talk about exposure\, focus\, and composition. Attendees will need to have a working film camera and at least one roll of film. \nAfter the walk\, you can either bring in your roll of film to Hunt’s to have it developed OR\, if you want to learn about film processing\, you can sign up for our Developing Film classes!  (Scanning is included in the cost of that class!)\nThis walk is an excellent opportunity to work on so many varying elements and your skills as a photographer! \nA few notes about our Film Photo Walks\n• Attendees should have a working film camera that they can use for the walk as well as any film they would like to use.\n• Please make sure you have a working battery in the camera.\n• If you are unsure whether your camera is fully functional\, we strongly recommend you contact us at classes@huntsphoto.com and schedule a time that we can check it out!\n• It is also strongly recommended that you either load the film in advance or have an understanding of how to load the film. Again\, if you’re unsure\, contact us at classes@huntsphoto.com \n• You can choose to shoot in black & white or color film. If you are unsure\, a good place to start for black & white film is Kodak Tri-X or Ilford HP5+\, and for color Kodak Gold or Ultramax\, or Fujifilm Superia. There are so many other brands and styles\, but these are the most basic and easy-to-use. \n• Our instructors know film cameras! But we don’t always know EVERY camera immediately\, so as we state above\, please plan accordingly if you’re unsure.\n• And if you do not have a film camera\, Hunt’s Photo stocks a great deal of used film cameras! \n• This is a film photo walk. You’re also welcome to bring a digital camera\, but the emphasis will be about shooting on film! \n  \nAbout Tessa Klingensmith \nTessa Klingensmith is a Salem based photographer with years of experience both in the field and in the lab. She’s passionate about analog photography and loves getting creative by souping film and other experimental processes.

SUMMARY:Hunt's Photo Walk: Seeing the Shot- Composition Challenge at Plimoth Patuxet
DESCRIPTION:Join Hunt’s Photo Educator Emily Hojnowski on a workshop for intermediate and advanced photographers who want to challenge themselves and take their composition to the next level! \nFounded more than 65 years ago\, Plimoth Patuxet is a living history museum that depicts the life and culture of America?s first settlers in the 17th century. The settlement is complete with houses\, gardens\, animals\, and pilgrims that live and speak just as if it was 1627. Photographers will work independently\, but towards a common goal. \nThe workshop will also include an image review session on Wednesday December 4th\,  featuring images from the workshop. \nThis us an excellent opportunity to challenge yourself as a photographer and work to better your composition! \nPlease note: The cost of your ticket does not include entrance to Plimoth Patuxet. Tickets may be purchased at the door.

SUMMARY:Online: Personal Vision Series- Your Hometown
DESCRIPTION:Introductory Presentation Tuesday November 12th\, 7pm EST\nImage Review Tuesday November 26th\, 7pm EST \nJoin Hunt’s Photo Education as we help grow your knowledge\, creativity\, and artistic expression with our expanded Personal Vision Series. This will cause you to be the driving force of your creativity and vision!\nThis month’s topic is “Your Hometown”. We will have an instructional online presentation on the first date and will reconvene for our Image Review on the second date. You will have that time period in between to photograph and edit our assignment. Your personal creative voice is critical to your growth as a photographer and as an artist. Join us for to help grow that voice!
