SUMMARY:Hunt's Film Photo Workshop: The North End in the Morning
DESCRIPTION:Join Hunt’s Photo Educator Emily Hojnowski and photographer Tessa Klingensmith for a unique walk in the North End…with film cameras! \nOn this walk\, we will photograph around the North End utilizing your film cameras. (You can also bring a digital camera\, but the emphasis will be about shooting on film!) Amongst other topics\, we will talk about exposure\, focus\, and composition. Attendees will need to have a working film camera and at least one roll of film. \nAfter the walk\, you can either bring in your roll of film to Hunt’s to have it developed OR\, if you want to learn about film processing\, you can sign up for our Developing Film classes!  (Scanning is included in the cost of that class!)\nThis walk is an excellent opportunity to work on so many varying elements and your skills as a photographer! \nA few notes about our Film Photo Walks\n• Attendees should have a working film camera that they can use for the walk as well as any film they would like to use.\n• Please make sure you have a working battery in the camera.\n• If you are unsure whether your camera is fully functional\, we strongly recommend you contact us at classes@huntsphoto.com and schedule a time that we can check it out!\n• It is also strongly recommended that you either load the film in advance or have an understanding of how to load the film. Again\, if you’re unsure\, contact us at classes@huntsphoto.com \n• You can choose to shoot in black & white or color film. If you are unsure\, a good place to start for black & white film is Kodak Tri-X or Ilford HP5+\, and for color Kodak Gold or Ultramax\, or Fujifilm Superia. There are so many other brands and styles\, but these are the most basic and easy-to-use. \n• Our instructors know film cameras! But we don’t always know EVERY camera immediately\, so as we state above\, please plan accordingly if you’re unsure.\n• And if you do not have a film camera\, Hunt’s Photo stocks a great deal of used film cameras! \n• This is a film photo walk. You’re also welcome to bring a digital camera\, but the emphasis will be about shooting on film! \n  \nAbout Tessa Klingensmith \nTessa Klingensmith is a Salem based photographer with years of experience both in the field and in the lab. She’s passionate about analog photography and loves getting creative by souping film and other experimental processes.

SUMMARY:Online: Personal Vision Series- Shadows
DESCRIPTION:Introductory Presentation Tuesday December 3rd\, 7pm EST\nImage Review Tuesday December 17th\, 7pm EST \nJoin Hunt’s Photo Education as we help grow your knowledge\, creativity\, and artistic expression with our expanded Personal Vision Series. These classes are designed to provide you time\, opportunity\, and guidance in shaping your creative photographic voice. We will give an overview on a specific topic in an online class session\, then give you time to go into the field by yourself (or with someone else\, if you choose) to complete an assignment based on that topic. We will reconvene a few days later for an online image review to discuss elements of your images.\nThe Personal Vision Series is a crossroads of many different ideas that we offer with Hunt’s Photo Education: Topic-based instruction/classes\, Photo Walks\, & Image Reviews. However\, unlike a Photo Walk where we will all take a certain direction\, for the “Walk” portion\, you will be asked to journey out on your own to photograph. This will cause you to be the driving force of your creativity and vision!\nThis month’s topic is “Shadows”. We will have an instructional online presentation on the first date and will reconvene for our Image Review on the second date. You will have that time period in between to photograph and edit our assignment. Your personal creative voice is critical to your growth as a photographer and as an artist. Join us for to help grow that voice!

SUMMARY:Online: Personal Vision Series- Low Light
DESCRIPTION:Introductory Presentation Tuesday January 7th\, 7pm EST\nImage Review Tuesday January 21st\, 7pm EST \nJoin Hunt’s Photo Education as we help grow your knowledge\, creativity\, and artistic expression with our expanded Personal Vision Series. This will cause you to be the driving force of your creativity and vision!\nThis month’s topic is “Low Light”. We will have an instructional online presentation on the first date and will reconvene for our Image Review on the second date. You will have that time period in between to photograph and edit our assignment. Your personal creative voice is critical to your growth as a photographer and as an artist. Join us for to help grow that voice!

SUMMARY:Online: Personal Vision Series- Warmth
DESCRIPTION:Introductory Presentation Wednesday February 12th\, 7pm EST\nImage Review Tuesday February 25th\, 7pm EST \nJoin Hunt’s Photo Education as we help grow your knowledge\, creativity\, and artistic expression with our expanded Personal Vision Series. This will cause you to be the driving force of your creativity and vision!\nThis month’s topic is “Warmth”. We will have an instructional online presentation on the first date and will reconvene for our Image Review on the second date. You will have that time period in between to photograph and edit our assignment. Your personal creative voice is critical to your growth as a photographer and as an artist. Join us for to help grow that voice!

SUMMARY:Hunt's Photo Walk: Winter at Olde Sturbridge Village
DESCRIPTION:Located an hour west of Boston\, Sturbridge Village is a proud replication of an 18th century New England town. Sturbridge Village is a living history museum that features many authentic period buildings and homes to explore and enjoy. The village is also inhabited by re-enactors who provide colorful insight to life in New England during the 18th century. Sturbridge Village is a wonderful destination for a multitude of photographic opportunities as well as a glimpse into a bygone era.\nOlde Sturbridge Village is perhaps one of the best places to have both a Photo Walk and a class. There’s a little bit of everything at this living history museum\, from macro and closeup with fine details to architecture\, from portraits to landscapes. We will photograph both indoors and outdoors\, in regular light as well as very low light. We will discuss how to work with subjects to create a story\, and also work on settings to fine-tune focus and exposure! This Photo Walk is one of the best opportunities to build your photographic knowledge\, no matter what level. This walk is equally as beneficial as a first walk or a twentieth walk\, as the area has so much to offer!\nJoin us for a great experience!\nPlease note: The cost of your ticket does NOT include the cost of your entrance into Olde Sturbridge Village\, which can be purchased here: https://www.osv.org/plan-your-visit/
