DESCRIPTION:Speedlights are a powerful tool with such great possibilities that you can use on and off the camera. Unfortunately\, they can be a finicky tool\, difficult to understand.\nBut they don’t need to be! With a little bit of know-how\, you can create excellent portraits ANYWHERE using your speedlight!\nIn this Creating Portraits with Speedlights Session\, we’ll discuss\, demonstrate\, and then practice with models how to set up a great portrait anywhere using the simplest of tools and methods. In this workshop\, we will specifically be working with speedlights/flash off the camera using triggers.\nMost importantly\, attendees will be guiding the setup (and take down) of all the gear. Attendees are also encouraged to bring their own gear\, but we will begin with gear that anyone can use\, including:\n-A Variety of brands of Speedlights\n-Off-Camera Triggers\n-Lightmeters\n-Softboxes\, Reflectors\, and other Diffusers\nLayout of the day:\n9am- Introductions\, brief presentation/discussion on exposure & speedlights\, camera setup\n10am- Begin creating setups\n10:30am- Demoing of setups (during this time\, we will photograph each other- Be Prepared!)\n11:30am- Brief Break\n12-3pm- Photographing with models. SUMMARY:Hunt's Video Workshop: Product Video Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Join cinematographer Nick Froment in our Providence store as we embark upon an immersive product shooting experience. In this workshop\, we will discuss a variety of topics\, from camera settings to gear\, and get hands-on in creating an actual product video\, working with the purpose of getting the best end result possible.\nThis class will be divided into three sections: Discussion/examples and demo\, Hands-on working with setups\, and Review of work.\nIn the first section\, we will discuss the goals of product videography and how to achieve them by reviewing a previously made cinematic product video for lighting\, camera movement\, shooting styles and more. We will then create a mock product video as a demonstration.\nIn the second section\, students will break into groups with an Ikan slider and fluid video head + tripod and begin creating videos. You are welcome to bring your own products to video for this section or video what we have for demo. We will also work with other shots\, such as panning\, tilting\, rack focusing\, handheld movements and more. (Note: We will have some gear to use\, but you are welcome to bring your own as well.)\nIn the final section\, we will review the media over HDMI\, in Final Cut\, make suggestions\, and refine videos to perfection.\nThis is going to be a fun and very informative class! Strongly encouraged for video users!\nPlease note: An interchangeable lens video camera is required for this course. You should also have prior knowledge of the record functionality of your camera\, handling tripods\, lighting\, etc. You don’t need to be an expert\, but should have some basic concepts.

DESCRIPTION:Beware! These classes will make your mouth water!\nPresenting Hunt’s Photo Education’s Food Photography Series! In these hands-on workshops\, we will cover all aspects of food photography: exposure\, composition\, styling\, working with food\, lighting\, props\, and more.  In this workshop– Savory Scenes!– we will specifically be working with…you guessed it! We will cover many of the basics for beginners and add challenges for more advanced food photographers. Savory foods come in all sorts of “flavors” (or at least they photograph differently). Therefore\, different emphases\, food prep\, lighting techniques\, and more go into photographing these dishes. Join us as we serve up something salty (or spicy)!\nFor this workshop\, certain savory foods will be provided\, but photographers are welcome to bring their own as well! We will also provide lighting and diffusers. Photographers are welcome to bring their own additional props.
