DESCRIPTION:Shawn Carey and Michael Milicia will lead this one-day classroom seminar crammed with tips and techniques that will help bring your avian imagery to the next level. \nMike and Shawn will be prepared to discuss a wide range of topics including fieldcraft\, composition\, exposure\, metering\, autofocus\, histograms\, minimizing noise\, camera setup\, flight photography\, tripods\, lens choice\, sharpness\, light angles\, bird behavior\, poses\, head angles\, travel tips\, and more. \nThe exact content will be guided in large part by audience questions which will be welcome and encouraged throughout the day.  A concerted effort will be made to make this class beneficial for both beginners and more experienced bird photographers. \nPlease note: There will be a one-hour lunch break from 12:30-1:30pm and two 15-minute breaks during this time. You are welcome to leave the classroom and return!

SUMMARY:Developing Black & White Film- Hunt's Photo Waltham
DESCRIPTION:Join Hunt’s Photo Education as we discuss all the key elements of loading and developing film\, and get you to develop a roll on your own! In this workshop\, we will show you how to load film into a developing tank\, discuss the elements of the chemistry involved\, and other various aspects. Because of the many variables\, we will only be using one specific type of developer\, but we will discuss the possibilities of other developers available and their advantages. \nPlease note: This class caters to black & white film developing only! We will also have a color film developing class. All film classes can be found here. \nWe will provide tanks\, reels\, chemistry\, and basically anything that you need to develop your film. All you will need to have is a roll of film to develop. (Make sure that roll is black and white and NOT C-41 black and white\, as that cannot be developed in black and white chemistry!) \nWe will also include a free scan of your film after it has been processed! Since your film will be wet at the end of the session\, you will leave it to dry so it can be scanned. The digital scans will be sent directly to your email address. If you would like the negatives to be shipped to another store for pickup\, we can gladly do that!

In this class\, you’ll learn how to shape the “look” of your images by using light\, shadow\, color\, and composition as storytelling tools. We’ll explore how creative choices influence mood\, energy\, and emotion—helping you capture not just what a subject looks like\, but what it feels like. \nIn Intermediate Photography – Getting the Look\, we’ll go beyond exposure and focus on crafting photographs with intention. Through hands-on exercises\, we’ll explore how to use color theory\, light and shadow\, and compositional techniques to enhance storytelling and create photographs with mood and impact. SUMMARY:LED Lighting for Cosplay\, Advanced Photoshoot with Jeremy Saffer
DESCRIPTION:Join Jeremy Saffer in a very special advanced group shoot working where YOU take over the lighting\, set\, subjects\, and do your own shoot (multiple set ups/shoots with extended shoot times)\, Jeremy is on hand for guidance\, advice\, and support. This is a unique opportunity to use a variety of different lighting with some incredible subjects to create incredible looks in a studio setting. You choose the level of assistance you need from Jeremy\, fully hands on setting up lights/running the set for you to 100% hands off\, leaving it entirely up to you and everything in between. – a follow up image review and feedback session will take place over zoom. As mentioned in the title\, our models will be emphasizing a Cosplay look\, which is a great addition to anyone’s portfolio!\n\nGENERAL SCHEDULE: \nOur general schedule will be that we’ll do a brief introduction and setup\, then dive right into setting up lights and shooting. DESCRIPTION:Join Hunt’s Photo Education as we discuss all the key elements of loading and developing film\, and get you to develop a roll on your own! In this workshop\, we will show you how to load film into a developing tank\, discuss the elements of the chemistry involved\, and other various aspects. Because of the many variables\, we will only be using one specific type of developer\, but we will discuss the possibilities of other developers available and their advantages. \nPlease note: This class caters to black & white film developing only! We will also have a color film developing class. All film classes can be found here. \nWe will provide tanks\, reels\, chemistry\, and basically anything that you need to develop your film. All you will need to have is a roll of film to develop. (Make sure that roll is black and white and NOT C-41 black and white\, as that cannot be developed in black and white chemistry!) \nWe will also include a free scan of your film after it has been processed! Since your film will be wet at the end of the session\, you will leave it to dry so it can be scanned. The digital scans will be sent directly to your email address. If you would like the negatives to be shipped to another store for pickup\, we can gladly do that!

DESCRIPTION:As we approach the winter months\, many portrait photographers freeze- “Well\, I’m a natural light photographer!” RESPECT! But that doesn’t mean you can’t add a little bit of flair with a simple flash or LED light. And it certainly doesn’t mean that studio portraits equal boring portraits! This class will help set the record straight! \nIn this workshop\, we will work to create awesome portraits using simple tools and techniques so that you can create a great portrait ANYWHERE\, whether in a small room or a big studio. We’re also giving this workshop a little bit of holiday flair\, involving props and fun additional background items! \nAttendees will also be guiding the setup (and take down) of all the gear. Attendees are also encouraged to bring their own gear\, but we will primarily working with the the house gear\, including: \n-Speedlights and Studio Strobes \n-LED Lights\n-Softboxes\, Reflectors\, and other Diffusers \nLayout of the day: \n9am- Introductions\, brief presentation/discussion on exposure & speedlights\, camera setup\n10am-12pm- Begin creating setups.
