This will be an excellent opportunity to learn about your camera in a fun and safe environment! Join us to strengthen your photographic knowledge!\nIn this session of Beginner Photography in the Field…\n…we will be going to Moore State Park in Paxton\, MA. A historic gristmill\, waterfalls\, and over-flowering flower blooms are just a few of the sights in this large park in Massachusetts. There are lots of opportunities for landscapes and macro\, with historic buildings\, lots of flowers\, and sometimes even sheep! It’s a fantastic place to learn how to use your camera! Bring your camera and your enthusiasm to learn all about photography in a hands-on\, real-life environment!

There are now a few different versions of Adobe Lightroom right now.This course is specifically on Adobe Lightroom Classic. To learn how to do that\, check out our Lightroom File Management courses. \nThis is a great opportunity to build up your editing skills in Lightroom!\nAdobe Lightroom is the choice program for professionals and amateurs\, with ever-growing capabilities and options. However\, there are many levels to understanding in the program. What do we do to make basic changes? Once we learn those changes\, how can we “step it up” and figure out what to we’re supposed to do? How do we make images pop? And finally\, how do we put it all together and making finishing touches to our images.\nJoin Hunt’s Photo Education for a course that helps answer many of these questions. Often\, Lightroom users struggle with the inability to determine what changes are “good” or “correct”. While those terms are subjective\, we will help you along in the editing process to see how to make determinations along the way.\nThis is a Multi-Session Class! In Week 1\, we’ll start with the basic adjustments using Basic Development controls. More than anything\, we will be emphasizing global changes and understanding what can be done with an image in Lightroom. We’ll then dive into Color\, Curves\, Contrast & Clarity & Texture. These changes will help make your images pop. The look and feel of the program is completely different– This course is specifically on Adobe Lightroom Classic. (See graphic on the right.) Important: If you are taking this course\, make sure to download/update the program in advance\, as you will not be able to download the program at the store. SUMMARY:Developing Color Film- Hunt's Photo Waltham
DESCRIPTION:Join Hunt’s Photo Education as we discuss all the key elements of loading and developing film\, and get you to develop a roll on your own! In this workshop\, we will show you how to load film into a developing tank\, discuss the elements of the chemistry involved\, and other various aspects. Because of the many variables\, we will only be using one specific type of developer\, but we will discuss the possibilities of other developers available and their advantages. \nPlease note: This class caters to color/C-41 type film developing only! We will also have a black and white film developing class. All film classes can be found here. \nWe will provide tanks\, reels\, chemistry\, and basically anything that you need to develop your film. All you will need to have is a roll of film to develop. \nWe will also include a free scan of your film after it has been processed! Since your film will be wet at the end of the session\, you will leave it to dry so it can be scanned. The digital scans will be sent directly to your email address. If you would like the negatives to be shipped to another store for pickup\, we can gladly do that!

For some photographers\, there is only the manual mode. But why is it important to shoot in the Manual mode? Are there reasons to use manual vs. Aperture priority and vice-versa? How can we maximize usability?\nIn this class\, we will cover:\n• Your Camera’s Light Meter and how it works\n• Use of Aperture Priority vs. Manual modes\n• Histograms\n• Photographing in RAW vs. Jpeg\nUnderstanding the full-functionality of your camera is a necessity to improving your flexibility when photographing in a variety of situations. This course is designed to help you feel more comfortable about how to change your camera’s settings in those situations. It is recommended as a follow-up to our Beginner Photography course.

DESCRIPTION:Hunt’s Photo Education Presents…The Weekend Workshops: A long weekend featuring education seminars\, photo walks and workshops\, image reviews\, editing\, and fine art printing\, all in glorious black and white. \nDuring the weekend\, each attendee will have the opportunity to attend four Photo Walks/Workshops. We will have an introductory meet and greet and presentation on the first evening that will set the tone and expectations for the weekend\, as well as allow attendees to mingle with other attendees. On days 2 and 3\, our instructors will conduct one Photo Walk in the mid/late morning and one Photo Walk in the evening. They will repeat the same schedule on Friday and Saturday. (So\, if you attend a Photo Walk with Instructor A on Friday morning\, you’ll have the ability to attend a different Photo Walk with Instructor B on Saturday morning.)\nDuring the middle part of Friday and Saturday\, we will have image reviews\, image processing\, and have general photography discussions. You are welcome to attend these\, or you can take a break\, if needed! \nOn Day 4\, we will print and review selected images from all attendees. You are welcome to take these images with you after the workshop! \nThis year will be centered out of our Hunt’s Photo Melrose store location. Our Melrose store has a large classroom area which will be excellent for our editing and review sessions!
