SUMMARY:Multi-Session Series- Adobe Lightroom Classic- File Management & Editing- Hunt's Photo\, Melrose
DESCRIPTION:This is a great opportunity to build up your editing skills in Lightroom!\nAdobe Lightroom is the choice program for professionals and amateurs\, with ever-growing capabilities and options. However\, there are many levels to understanding in the program. How do we organize our photos? What do we do to make basic changes? Once we learn those changes\, how can we “step it up” and figure out what to we’re supposed to do? How do we make images pop? And finally\, how do we put it all together and making finishing touches to our images.\nJoin Hunt’s Photo Education for a course that helps answer many of these questions. Often\, Lightroom users struggle with the inability to determine what changes are “good” or “correct”. While those terms are subjective\, we will help you along in the editing process to see how to make determinations along the way.\nThis is a Multi-Session Class! In Week 1\, we will begin by discussing how to organize your images for quick retrieval via keywords\, ratings\, and more\, as well as giving a description on how to consider organizing your photos on your computer. Specifically\, we will cover brief computer file management\, the importance of keywords\, flagging and rating photos\, and searching metadata to find images. In Week 2\, we’ll start with the basic adjustments using Basic Development controls. More than anything\, we will be emphasizing global changes and understanding what can be done with an image in Lightroom. We’ll then dive into Color\, Curves\, Contrast & Clarity & Texture. These changes will help make your images pop. In Week 3\, we’ll discuss advanced editing\, including local adjustments\, such as radial and graduated filters\, and how to “finish” the image- sharpening\, noise reduction\, and more.\nIn-between each session\, we will give assignments to help you become more proficient and grasp the material! This class is strongly recommended for anyone looking to further their skills with Lightroom! \n \nAn important note about this course! There are now a few different versions of Adobe Lightroom right now. This course is specifically on Adobe Lightroom Classic. The other version of Lightroom\, commonly known as “Adobe Lightroom CC” (yes\, we understand you may be confused by this) is a more mobile and cloud-based program. The look and feel of the program is completely different– This course is specifically on Adobe Lightroom Classic. (See graphic on the right.) If you are unsure\, feel free to email us at classes@huntsphoto.com. Important: If you are taking this course\, make sure to download/update the program in advance\, as you will not be able to download the program at the store. Older versions\, such as Lightroom 5 or 6\, are also acceptable\, though not all functions will be available.

SUMMARY:High Key/Low Key Still Life Photography Workshop- Hunt's Photo Melrose
DESCRIPTION:Still life artwork has a history dating back centuries\, and has existed in photography since it became a medium. Still life photography is often used as a way of demonstrating composition\, framing\, and lighting. This deceptively simple genre has endless variations and possibilities\, and we will spend the day tackling some of these concepts!\nIn this hands-on workshop\, we’ll not only look at how to create dynamic still life compositions\, but also discuss how to change the mood of your images by emphasizing High Key (bright\, very few shadows) and Low Key (dark\, lots of shadows) elements. We will discuss how to compose\, light\, and photograph your subject to convey the story and mood you envision. We will also show you how to get it right in camera so you can spend less time editing and more time shooting!\nAttendees are recommended to not only bring their camera and tripod\, but also consider bringing some basic items that you may want to photograph during the workshop.

\n \nCurious which Adobe plan to get? We recommend the 20GB Photography Plan\, detailed in the screenshot on the left. You can find it here!

Anabel has had the honor of photographing both national and international canine champions\, as well as their litters. To help in her ability to work so well with dogs\, Anabel has taken up agility classes and taken seminars on body language. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSimultaneously\, Anabel’s teenage love for music manifested in her desire to photograph musicians and their various escapades. Having shot her very first musician portraits at the age of sixteen and her first concert the same year\, her music photography career began rolling very quickly. Despite the industry’s hardships and tumultuous statistics\, Anabel persevered in her desire to be a part of the music industry\, albeit in a photographic sense. Since then\, she has worked tirelessly with hundreds of bands\, had her music photography published just as many times (in print and online)\, and received Senior Journalist positions at three music magazines\, such as Outburn Magazine. She had previously worked for Substream Magazine\, and had her work featured in Revolver Magazine\, AP\, Blabbermouth\, and more. Anabel loves promoting all of the musicians that grace the front of her lens\, and found a deep love for writing about their music. As of 2017\, Anabel can officially say that her music work has reached an international level\, with her photography being published in various music outlets within Finland\, England\, and Norway. \nIn 2015\, Anabel DFlux had officially made her photography classes available to the public\, and in 2017\, she had been offered a positions as an educational writer for several online photography resources. As a self-taught photographer\, Anabel feels that she has a different understanding of learning\, and loves to offer that to students that have not had much success with traditional learning schemes and lesson plans. She teaches students of all skill levels and with all types of camera equipment\, as well as post processing techniques and artistic business management skills. Her goal is to ensure that everyone understands the maximum capabilities of their equipment so that they can go forth and create the work that they dream of! From 2018-2019\, Anabel DFlux taught seminars at Canon USA through their Live Learning program. In 2019\, Anabel began teaching at Samy’s Photo School in Los Angeles\, Pasadena\, and Santa Ana. Mid-2019\, Anabel became an ambassador for Sigma Corporation of America and has dedicated her time to education through Sigma’s incredible array of events! \nAnabel DFlux loves to give back to the community\, and can frequently be seen donating photography sessions and creating visual content for organizations such as CLEAR Canine Cancer & Lymphoma\, East Valley Animal Shelter\, Adopt the Arts Foundation\, multiple wolf conservation centers\, and the Judith A Bassett Canid Conservation & Education Center.

\n \nCurious which Adobe plan to get? We recommend the 20GB Photography Plan\, detailed in the screenshot on the left. You can find it here!
