DESCRIPTION:Join Hunt’s Photo Education on a beautiful photo walk photographing plants and flowers with an emphasis on macro photography. Due to space constraints\, we will also be working handheld–without tripods! We will maximize our quality to get the best shot while in this situation! This is a great exercise to work handheld to get the best shot! During this walk\, we will work on use of color\, close up/macro photography\, depth of field\, exposure and use of reflectors/diffusers.\nFuller Gardens is a public\, non-profit botanical garden in North Hampton\, New Hampshire. Bottom Line: Great class for confused beginners.?\n?Everything about this class was excellent. The instructors were patient and took time to answer every question thoroughly and we were given ample time to try out the techniques we were being shown. All in all\, a wonderful experience.?\n?Very much liked the instructors- knowledgeable\, entertaining\, encouraging\, not judgmental. SUMMARY:Hunt's Photo Filter Workshop: Using Filters in the Field
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a morning of learning what filters we want to use in photography\, how to use them\, and then go out into the field to get some hands-on practice!\nWe will begin in our Hunt’s Photo Manchester classroom to learn about filters\, how to use them properly\, how to attach them to the camera\, and\, if applicable\, purchase filters. We will then travel ~22 minutes to our waterfall location to practice long exposures. (Please note: Our location is TBA. To minimize confusion\, we will let you know in the confirmation email after purchase.) There are many small falls here – wide angle\, normal zoom\, and telephoto are all recommended. UV\, Circular Polarizer (CPL)\, and Neutral Density (ND) filters are all recommended. Students may choose to shoot from the banks of the river\, but the best shots will happen by walking along some rocks. Waterproof boots are your friend!\nWhether you’ve used filters and still have questions\, you’ve never used filters\, or you need a little inspiration\, this is a great opportunity to have some fun with filters!

This breathtaking waterfall features three distinct cascades that will allow you to learn how to capture and edit unique photos.\nThe first cascade is less than 100 feet from the parking area\, with the other two just a few minutes walk down the path.\nAndy and Jamie will teach you the basics of capturing waterfalls\, including what gear and settings to use for your desired outcome\, the best weather and time of year to visit different waterfalls\, and advanced techniques such as median blending\, panoramas\, and focus stacking.\nThis workshop also includes a 90-minute Zoom editing session where you will learn Jamie and Andy’s techniques for bringing out the most of what we captured at the workshop.

SUMMARY:Online: Multi-Session Series- Food Photography
DESCRIPTION:Join Hunt’s Photo Education for our Multi-Session Series. In our Multi-Session Series\, we will meet over the course of a number of weeks\, generally at the same time each week. During that time\, we will discuss a specific element of a topic and end the session by giving a photographic assignment. That assignment will be due for completion before the next class meeting\, and we will review those images at the start of the next session. If for some reason you cannot attend one of the sessions\, don’t worry! They will be recorded and you will be able to watch them at your leisure!\nOur Multi-Session Series is designed to “keep the conversation going” by engaging with our attendees in a more personal way. In each of these classes\, we will have 10-15 attendees and provide direct feedback on images. We encourage photographers of all skill levels to consider these classes\, as they will build upon your experience and provide an excellent chance to work on your imagery!\nFood Photography\nJoin Hunt’s Photo Education as we discuss everything you need to get started with food photography including gear\, props\, and shooting techniques!\nFor this course\, we’ll start with composition in the first week\, discussing the core compositional principles\, choosing the right food and mood for a shoot\, and which angle is best for your subject.\nIn week two\, we’ll move past natural light and begin controlling and shaping artificial light. We’ll discuss size\, quality\, and direction of light as well as the best light modifiers to achieve that natural light look even at night! Color is a key element of food photography and we’ll cover everything from color psychology to perfecting white balance.\nBy the third week\, we’ll be working on styling our scenes with various props\, backgrounds\, and ingredients. Emily will show you the how and the why as we work through advanced compositional techniques. We’ll talk gear and how you don’t need to spend a fortune or have a lot of space to be a successful food photographer.\nIn our final week\, we’ll tie everything together and sharpen each student’s individual food style. We’ll discuss how to bring out the best of our food while telling a story and examine how foods can evoke emotional responses from our viewers.\nEach week you’ll have a new assignment that will build a diverse portfolio of food photography. Along the way\, you’ll be able to ask Emily questions and receive weekly individual\, personalized critiques and feedbacks from your assignment images. SUMMARY:Hunt's Photo Filter Workshop: Using Filters in the Field
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a morning of learning what filters we want to use in photography\, how to use them\, and then go out into the field to get some hands-on practice!\nWe will begin in our Hunt’s Photo Manchester classroom to learn about filters\, how to use them properly\, how to attach them to the camera\, and\, if applicable\, purchase filters. We will then travel ~22 minutes to our waterfall location to practice long exposures. (Please note: Our location is TBA. To minimize confusion\, we will let you know in the confirmation email after purchase.) There are many small falls here – wide angle\, normal zoom\, and telephoto are all recommended. UV\, Circular Polarizer (CPL)\, and Neutral Density (ND) filters are all recommended. Students may choose to shoot from the banks of the river\, but the best shots will happen by walking along some rocks. Waterproof boots are your friend!\nWhether you’ve used filters and still have questions\, you’ve never used filters\, or you need a little inspiration\, this is a great opportunity to have some fun with filters!

SUMMARY:Online: Multi-Session Series- Food Photography (Pt 2)
DESCRIPTION:Join Hunt’s Photo Education for our Multi-Session Series. In our Multi-Session Series\, we will meet over the course of a number of weeks\, generally at the same time each week. During that time\, we will discuss a specific element of a topic and end the session by giving a photographic assignment. That assignment will be due for completion before the next class meeting\, and we will review those images at the start of the next session. If for some reason you cannot attend one of the sessions\, don’t worry! They will be recorded and you will be able to watch them at your leisure!\nOur Multi-Session Series is designed to “keep the conversation going” by engaging with our attendees in a more personal way. In each of these classes\, we will have 10-15 attendees and provide direct feedback on images. We encourage photographers of all skill levels to consider these classes\, as they will build upon your experience and provide an excellent chance to work on your imagery!\nFood Photography\nJoin Hunt’s Photo Education as we discuss everything you need to get started with food photography including gear\, props\, and shooting techniques!\nFor this course\, we’ll start with composition in the first week\, discussing the core compositional principles\, choosing the right food and mood for a shoot\, and which angle is best for your subject.\nIn week two\, we’ll move past natural light and begin controlling and shaping artificial light. We’ll discuss size\, quality\, and direction of light as well as the best light modifiers to achieve that natural light look even at night! Color is a key element of food photography and we’ll cover everything from color psychology to perfecting white balance.\nBy the third week\, we’ll be working on styling our scenes with various props\, backgrounds\, and ingredients. Emily will show you the how and the why as we work through advanced compositional techniques. We’ll talk gear and how you don’t need to spend a fortune or have a lot of space to be a successful food photographer.\nIn our final week\, we’ll tie everything together and sharpen each student’s individual food style. We’ll discuss how to bring out the best of our food while telling a story and examine how foods can evoke emotional responses from our viewers.\nEach week you’ll have a new assignment that will build a diverse portfolio of food photography. Along the way\, you’ll be able to ask Emily questions and receive weekly individual\, personalized critiques and feedbacks from your assignment images. Emily will also be giving you editing tutorials using Adobe Lightroom Classic so we can put the final touches on our images.\nPhotographers should have an understanding of exposure before taking this class.\nWeek 1: Composition\nWeek 2: Light & Color\nWeek 3: Styling\nWeek 4: Storytelling\nRegistering and what is needed\nAfter you register for this class\, you will receive a confirmation email that will include information about how to access the online class\, including an online ID code that you will need to get into the class. DESCRIPTION:In this workshop\, we will spend our day creating a variety of still life set ups\, unique macro scenarios\, and learning about the use of light and light modifiers\, all with the emphasis of our theme\, The Fall! Get your cinnamon sticks and cornucopias ready! How about them apples? Yeah\, we’ll photograph those\, too! It’ll be a fun day with or without pumpkin spice as we set the mood of the October/November season!\nWe will be bringing lots of props and flowers to photograph for this workshop. However\, we find in our macro workshops that our attendees value shooting some things of their own as much if not more than what we bring. So\, while we will have props\, feel free to bring your own props\, trinkets\, and other things that may (or may not) be important to you!
