SUMMARY:Hunt's Photo Filter Workshop: Using Filters in the Field with Waterfalls
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a morning of learning what filters we want to use in photography\, how to use them\, and then go out into the field to get some hands-on practice!\nWe will begin in our Hunt’s Photo Manchester classroom to learn about filters\, how to use them properly\, how to attach them to the camera\, and\, if applicable\, purchase filters. We will then travel a short distance to a NEW location (about 20-25 minutes away) to our waterfall location to practice long exposures. (Please note: Our location is TBA. To minimize confusion\, we will let you know in the reminder email a few days prior to the event.)  UV\, Circular Polarizer (CPL)\, and Neutral Density (ND) filters are all recommended. Students may choose to shoot from the banks of the river\, but the best shots will happen by walking along some rocks. Waterproof boots are your friend!\nWhether you’ve used filters and still have questions\, you’ve never used filters\, or you need a little inspiration\, this is a great opportunity to have some fun with filters! \n\nStudents will need tripods\, bug spray\, cable releases in addition to their filters.

SUMMARY:Online: Special Guest Series- Mastering Macro Composition with Emilie Talpin
DESCRIPTION:In this macro program\, Emilie Talpin\, OM SYSTEM Ambassador\, explores how composition changes when your subject is no bigger than a fingernail. Emilie will demonstrate how you can transform simple close-ups into compelling visual stories and how to create intentional spatial flow in tiny environments. She’ll break down color harmony and background control so your images feel clean\, powerful\, and deliberate. Whether you’re new to macro or already experienced\, this talk will reshape the way you see and compose the miniature world. \nAbout Emilie\nEmilie Talpin is an OM SYSTEM ambassador who grew up in Chalon sur Saône\, France\, the birthplace of Nicéphore Niépce and the first photograph. Despite this background\, she got into photography late and\, in 2018\, joined a local camera club where she met a group of talented photographers and was inspired to dive deeper into the art of capturing moments in time. She attributes part of her success as a photographer to switching from heavy and cumbersome gear to a camera system that is lighter and more versatile. She bought the OMD Em1 Mark II\, a wildlife and a macro lens\, and has never looked back. She is particularly interested in macro photography\, especially in the art of capturing water drop refraction.\nYou can read her articles: https://learnandsupport.getolympus.com/about-emilie-talpin\nContact\nInstagram: @emilietalpin ( https://www.instagram.com/emilietalpin/ )\nWebsite: https://emilietalpin.smugmug.com/ )\nYoutube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCsyFkE7rIxyID4-VRHcRXvg ) \n\n\nRegistering and what is needed\nAfter you register for this class\, you will receive a confirmation email that will include information about how to access the online class\, including an online ID code that you will need to get into the class. SUMMARY:Hunt's Photo Walk: Bugs in the Field with Emilie Talpin\, Portsmouth NH
DESCRIPTION:Join Hunt’s Photo Educator Emily Hojnowski and guest photographer Emilie Talpin photographing BUGS in the field! On this workshop\, attendees will be hand held\, photographing close-up (macro) with an emphasis on bugs as we work our way along Prescott Park in Portsmouth\, NH.  \nAttendees should have a camera and macro lens\, but would also benefit from having a flash/speedlight for this workshop\, as well as a flash diffuser. If you don’t have a flash or diffuser\, we sell them at Hunt’s Photo and some are available to rent. Feel free to reach out to us at classes@huntsphoto.com if you have questions. Emilie also has a great video on how to make your own diffuser here. \nJoin us for this fun\, workshop! \n  \nAbout Emilie\nEmilie Talpin is an OM SYSTEM ambassador who grew up in Chalon sur Saône\, France\, the birthplace of Nicéphore Niépce and the first photograph. She is particularly interested in macro photography\, especially in the art of capturing water drop refraction. \nYou can read her articles: https://learnandsupport.getolympus.com/about-emilie-talpin\nContact\nInstagram: @emilietalpin ( https://www.instagram.com/emilietalpin/ )\nWebsite: https://emilietalpin.smugmug.com/ )\nYoutube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCsyFkE7rIxyID4-VRHcRXvg )
