SUMMARY:Hunt's Photo Walk: Mt Auburn Cemetery in the Fall
DESCRIPTION:Mt. Auburn Cemetery is one of Massachusetts’s most beautiful green spaces. This large\, rolling parcel of land was America’s first garden-style cemetery. The historical 174-acre cemetery serves as a final resting place for the deceased\, but it is also an arboretum full of flowers\, flowering trees\, colorful shrubs\, architecture\, and wildlife.\nOn this Photo Walk\, we will specifically photograph the cemetery in the fall! This will be a fantastic opportunity to work on macro while photographing the change of the seasons\, all within the confines of the beautiful rolling landscapes of Mt. Auburn Cemetery.

DESCRIPTION:Intermediate Photography – Getting the Look is designed to help you expand on your foundational technical knowledge while diving deeper into the creative side of photography. In this class\, you’ll learn how to shape the “look” of your images by using light\, shadow\, color\, and composition as storytelling tools. We’ll explore how creative choices influence mood\, energy\, and emotion—helping you capture not just what a subject looks like\, but what it feels like. \nIn Intermediate Photography – Getting the Look\, we’ll go beyond exposure and focus on crafting photographs with intention. Through hands-on exercises\, we’ll explore how to use color theory\, light and shadow\, and compositional techniques to enhance storytelling and create photographs with mood and impact. By the end of the class\, you’ll feel more confident in making creative choices that give your images their own distinct look and feel. \nTaking our Beginner Photography OR Digital Photo Basics 1 and 2 classes (or equivalent experience) is recommended prior to this course.

Discussion points in the class will include: \n\nThe basic settings on film cameras\, including exposure\, aperture and shutter speed\nProperly loading\, unloading\, and storing film\nCurrent films (“film stocks”) and what unique characteristics they hold\nWhat to look for and how to achieve amazing results!\nHands-on shooting demos!\n\nAttendees should all have a working film camera\, along with a working battery. (Hunt’s Photo sells most film camera batteries.)
