However\, photographing wild birds is one of the apexes of the photographer’s portfolio–with imagery that may seem deceptively simple\, yet take hours\, days\, weeks\, and months of planning and practicing\, and a lifetime to master. \nIn this 2-part online class\, guest photographer Tony Baldasaro will share his experiences on how to create impactful images of wild birds\, from prep work to in-the-field techniques to post-processing. \nIn session one\, Tony will cover tips on creating impactful images in the field\, including: \n\nProper Equipment & Settings\nIn depth review of how aperture and focal length impact the final image\nCompositional techniques to keep in mind in the field\nCelebrating your subject’s story\n\nPost processing wild bird images in Lightroom can be a challenge of its own\, with potentially thousands of raw images collected in the field.  Session 2 will include:  \n\nManaging & culling your files in Lightroom\nChoosing impactful images. \nPost processing techniques for wild birds in Lightroom\nThe use of AI tools to manage noise and blur issues.  \n\nAbout Tony Baldasaro Having called New England my home for nearly 50 years\, Tony has grown accustomed to not only the seasonal changes\, but also the sometimes volatile weather that comes with those changes and has come to love photographing in all of the conditions New England has to offer.\nWith more than 20 years of photography experience\, he loves creating images that depict not only natural landscapes\, but the animals found in those landscapes as well. Specifically\, he loves creating images of birds in their natural habitat.\nIn addition to photography\, Tony has been a teacher and school official for nearly 30 years. Merging his two passions\, photography and education\, gives him the opportunity to do what he loves most: Teach and create. DESCRIPTION:Hunt’s Photo Education and Sony Digital Imaging are excited to announce Capture the Moment North Boston: Photographing Action and Action Portraits\, featuring Sony Ambassador Tony Gale! \nIn this event\, photographers will have numerous opportunities to capture action. There will be separate shooting areas featuring models and off-camera flash/strobe and LED lighting\, each designed to create dynamic and beautiful imagery\, but also capture movement gracefully. The graceful gestures of a dancer\, the agility of an acrobat\, and the energy of an athlete are just some of the opportunities you will be able to capture during this jam-packed afternoon. \nThis event is sponsored by Sony\, but ALL photographers\, regardless what camera you have\, are encouraged to attend. Sony loaner gear (cameras and lenses) will be available for ANYONE interested! (Make sure to bring a driver’s license and credit card for loaners.) \nThis event will be held at Olio wedding & event space in Peabody\, MA\, an historic and beautifully renovated venue that is the perfect backdrop for the day! The afternoon will begin at 12pm with an introduction by Sony Ambassador Tony Gale who will discuss action portraits and the importance of creating dynamic imagery. Since then\, Anabel has become renowned for her innovative work including exotic animal photography\, live music shooting and dynamic\, imaginative portraits. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDFlux Photography began as a canine portrait service\, servicing pet owners in the Los Angeles area at local dog parks and community events. She teaches students of all skill levels and with all types of camera equipment\, as well as post processing techniques and artistic business management skills. Her goal is to ensure that everyone understands the maximum capabilities of their equipment so that they can go forth and create the work that they dream of! From 2018-2019\, Anabel DFlux taught seminars at Canon USA through their Live Learning program. In 2019\, Anabel began teaching at Samy’s Photo School in Los Angeles\, Pasadena\, and Santa Ana. DESCRIPTION:Join SIGMA ambassador Anabel DFlux and Jeremy Saffer as they take you on the campaign trail.\nOften times photographers are tasked with photographing an entire campaign for an artist including an album cover\, promotional images\, exclusive editorial images for various outlets\, endorsement images\, magazine covers\, vast social media content and more… all in a single shoot. These are called record cycle or campaign shoots.\n\nIn days two and three of the four day workshop\, Anabel and Jeremy will take you through both of their individual and distinct processes of taking on a campaign shoot. Art is her passion in life\, and in 2009 she made her dream a reality by establishing DFlux Photography\, LLC. Since then\, Anabel has become renowned for her innovative work including exotic animal photography\, live music shooting and dynamic\, imaginative portraits. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDFlux Photography began as a canine portrait service\, servicing pet owners in the Los Angeles area at local dog parks and community events. She then swiftly moved into the marvelous world of dog sport photography\, going on to currently receive a position photographing for three agility clubs\, one scent sport club\, and one barn hunt organization. However\, throughout her career\, she has worked with two dock diving clubs\, one herding organization\, six agility clubs\, one flyball club\, and two disc dog clubs. Her work has been featured and used by the American Kennel Club and the United States Dog Agility Association. Anabel has had the honor of photographing both national and international canine champions\, as well as their litters. To help in her ability to work so well with dogs\, Anabel has taken up agility classes and taken seminars on body language. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSimultaneously\, Anabel’s teenage love for music manifested in her desire to photograph musicians and their various escapades. As a self-taught photographer\, Anabel feels that she has a different understanding of learning\, and loves to offer that to students that have not had much success with traditional learning schemes and lesson plans. She teaches students of all skill levels and with all types of camera equipment\, as well as post processing techniques and artistic business management skills. Her goal is to ensure that everyone understands the maximum capabilities of their equipment so that they can go forth and create the work that they dream of! From 2018-2019\, Anabel DFlux taught seminars at Canon USA through their Live Learning program. In 2019\, Anabel began teaching at Samy’s Photo School in Los Angeles\, Pasadena\, and Santa Ana. DESCRIPTION:About The Printed Review Monthly \nThe printed image shows our successes and our faults at a much higher level of detail than the digital image. To become better photographers\, it helps to understand this by creating the printed image as a final product. \nOur Print Review Monthly is a chance to continue the print conversation over the course of many months. The concept of these classes is similar to our Printed Vision Series Classes: Attendees will independently process 1-2 images and upload them to the instructor for review. The instructor will send back a video image review which will discuss how to improve the image to make it “print ready”\, including exposure\, focus\, composition\, and especially paper selection. The instructor will then print one of the images to be displayed in the Print Review\, which will take place both in-person and online\, in case you cannot attend live. In the end of each session\, you will end up with a print up to 13×19” on Fine Art paper to take home with you. (We print on Moab\, Hahnemuhle\, and Canson fine art papers.) \nFor this class\, you can either choose a single session OR sign up for three months at a discounted rate.  You do not need to attend 3 consecutive sessions and may attend whenever it’s convenient. Choosing this option is excellent to keep the printing conversation going! However\, please note that the sessions expire after one year. (If you end up not being able to attend all the sessions\, you can also exchange a session for an additional print!) \nThese sessions are excellent for anyone: \n• Someone that wants a little help with editing before they get a print \n• Someone that does print but has print-related questions \n• A person that prints often and wants to try a different paper \n• Someone with no knowledge of printing that just wants to get a print! \n  \nCome check out why printing is the best thing to do for your photography! \n  \nReceiving Your Print\nAfter the class\, your print can either be mailed to you or picked up at one of our Hunt’s Photo store locations. \nRegistering and what is needed\nAfter you register for this class\, you will receive a confirmation email that will include information about how to upload images for the image review\, and the link to get into the online class. (You won’t need this if you’re attending live.) If you sign up for the bundle of three sessions\, we will send out updates monthly with new upload and class links. \n“You Are Being Recorded” (And Other Note Related Items)\nWe will be recording this class! The video will be available for download about 24-hours after the class for all attendees\, so don’t worry about taking unending notes.
