DESCRIPTION:This is a great opportunity to build up your editing skills in Lightroom!\nAdobe Lightroom is the choice program for professionals and amateurs\, with ever-growing capabilities and options. However\, there are many levels to understanding in the program. How do we organize our photos? What do we do to make basic changes? Once we learn those changes\, how can we “step it up” and figure out what to we’re supposed to do? How do we make images pop? And finally\, how do we put it all together and making finishing touches to our images.\nJoin Hunt’s Photo Education for a course that helps answer many of these questions. Often\, Lightroom users struggle with the inability to determine what changes are “good” or “correct”. While those terms are subjective\, we will help you along in the editing process to see how to make determinations along the way.\nThis is a Multi-Session Class! In Week 1\, we will begin by discussing how to organize your images for quick retrieval via keywords\, ratings\, and more\, as well as giving a description on how to consider organizing your photos on your computer. Specifically\, we will cover brief computer file management\, the importance of keywords\, flagging and rating photos\, and searching metadata to find images. In Week 2\, we’ll start with the basic adjustments using Basic Development controls. More than anything\, we will be emphasizing global changes and understanding what can be done with an image in Lightroom. We’ll then dive into Color\, Curves\, Contrast & Clarity & Texture. These changes will help make your images pop. In Week 3\, we’ll discuss advanced editing\, including local adjustments\, such as radial and graduated filters\, and how to “finish” the image- sharpening\, noise reduction\, and more.\nIn-between each session\, we will give assignments to help you become more proficient and grasp the material! This class is strongly recommended for anyone looking to further their skills with Lightroom! \n \nAn important note about this course! There are now a few different versions of Adobe Lightroom right now.This course is specifically on Adobe Lightroom Classic. The other version of Lightroom\, commonly known as “Adobe Lightroom CC” (yes\, we understand you may be confused by this) is a more mobile and cloud-based program. SUMMARY:Capture the Moment North Boston: Photographing Action and Action Portraits with Sony and Tony Gale
DESCRIPTION:Hunt’s Photo Education and Sony Digital Imaging are excited to announce Capture the Moment North Boston: Photographing Action and Action Portraits\, featuring Sony Ambassador Tony Gale! \nIn this event\, photographers will have numerous opportunities to capture action. There will be separate shooting areas featuring models and off-camera flash/strobe and LED lighting\, each designed to create dynamic and beautiful imagery\, but also capture movement gracefully. The graceful gestures of a dancer\, the agility of an acrobat\, and the energy of an athlete are just some of the opportunities you will be able to capture during this jam-packed afternoon. \nThis event is sponsored by Sony\, but ALL photographers\, regardless what camera you have\, are encouraged to attend. Sony loaner gear (cameras and lenses) will be available for ANYONE interested! (Make sure to bring a driver’s license and credit card for loaners.) \nThis event will be held at Olio wedding & event space in Peabody\, MA\, an historic and beautifully renovated venue that is the perfect backdrop for the day! The afternoon will begin at 12pm with an introduction by Sony Ambassador Tony Gale who will discuss action portraits and the importance of creating dynamic imagery. Attendees will then have the ability to photograph our model dancers\, acrobats\, athletes\, and more\, all with off-camera flash/strobe provided generously by Westcott and Sony and LED lighting provided by Nanlite. Of course\, Sony loaner gear is also available. (You don’t need to be a Sony shooter to attend this event; you also don’t need to be a Sony shooter to loan Sony gear!  😉 \nLight food and refreshments will also be available for attendees. \nAnd if all that wasn’t enough\, every photographer that attends will receive a $25 credit towards their purchase at Hunt’s Photo\, courtesy of Sony. \nOur Capture the Moment events aim to inspire and invigorate photographers to create something amazing. Join us for this fantastic opportunity! \n  \nAbout Tony: \nSony Ambassador Tony Gale is a NYC based award winning portrait  photographer shooting for a range of advertising\, editorial and corporate clients. Tony was raised in Bellingham\, Washington (90 miles north of Seattle) and spent most of his time as a child exploring the woods behind his parents house. At 19 after visiting Bruce Lee’s grave in Seattle\, and taking his first photo with a disposable camera\, he bought his first camera. He promptly broke it and bought his first SLR. At 21\, he moved to Seattle to pursue photography and in fall of 2000 moved to NYC\, the center of the world. \nTony has taught photographic lighting at FIT in NYC and Parsons the New School for Design\, judged photo contests\, and has traveled the country leading workshops for American Photographic Artists.
