We encourage photographers of all skill levels to consider these classes\, as they will build upon your experience and provide an excellent chance to work on your imagery!\nEditing in Adobe Lightroom\nThis is a great opportunity to build up your editing skills in Lightroom!\nAdobe Lightroom is the choice program for professionals and amateurs\, with ever-growing capabilities and options. However\, there are many levels to understanding in the program. What do we do to make basic changes? Once we learn those changes\, how can we “step it up” and figure out what to we’re supposed to do? How do we make images pop? And finally\, how do we put it all together and making finishing touches to our images.\nJoin Hunt’s Photo Education for this three-week course that helps answer many of these questions. What’s most important about this course is that we will give weekly editing assignments\, and we will review those edits at the start of the following week. Often\, Lightroom users struggle with the inability to determine what changes are “good” or “correct”. While those terms are subjective\, we will help you along in the editing process to see how to make determinations along the way.\nIn week one\, we’ll talk about file types and adjustment ranges using Basic Development controls. More than anything\, we will be emphasizing global changes and understanding what can be done with an image in Lightroom. In week two\, we’ll dive into Color\, Curves\, Contrast & Clarity & Texture and begin to discuss a variety of masking techniques. These changes will help make your images pop. Finally\, in week three\, we’ll discuss advanced editing\, including Sharpening\, HDR\, Pano stitching and more.\nEach week\, we will give an assignment and students will upload their edited photos prior to the next class. There are so many pieces to the puzzle of photography\, some of which use confusing terminology. For this reason\, we often start newcomers off using the Priority Modes because it’s “easier”. In reality\, these priority modes are just a short-term solution. It’s important to fully understand the “why” and “how” of your camera settings\, and learning to master manual is an excellent way to do so.\nThis Multi-Session Series will focus on Mastering Manual Mode. In week 1\, we?ll cover the technical side of aperture\, shutter\, and ISO. We?ll also discuss metering modes\, reading your meter\, and understanding histograms. In week 2\, we?ll learn to control depth of field\, focusing\, and how lens choice affects aperture choice. By week 3\, we?ll discuss how to use shutter speed effectively to either blur your motion or freeze your action. We?ll talk about shooting at night and in low light. We?ll also talk about ISO and how it controls image noise. In week 4\, we?ll put everything together by discussing dynamic range\, white balance\, and how to get the correct exposure in camera every time. We?ll also answer the most important question of all: which change should I make to achieve my desired results?\nEach week Emily will give an assignment to help further the topics covered in that week?s class. Students are encouraged to send in assignments that will be individually critiqued by Emily each week. In our Hunt’s Melrose store or Online!\nAbout The Printed Vision Series\nThe printed image shows our successes and our faults at a much higher level of detail than the digital image. To become better photographers\, it helps to understand this by creating the printed image as a final product\, which is the purpose behind the Printed Vision Series.\nIn this session… Editing for the Final Print\nLet’s be honest- everyone loves their photos on their phones or the back of their cameras\, right? But then when it gets onto your computer screen\, it doesn’t look as good. It can be even more challenging to make your photo look good in print form\, let alone a large print!\nIn this session\, we’ll go over all the fine points in editing to get your image “Print Ready”. In addition to that\, we’ll discuss how paper type affects mood and what papers there are out there to influence your vision! We’ll also take one of your images and print it in a size up to 13×19″ on Fine Art paper.  (Please note: The cost of a 12?18 or 13?19 print on fine art paper is $35-$40; the cost of this class includes the cost of that print! Make sure to save this information. We will also send a reminder email about 24 hours prior to the class time with that same information.\n?You Are Being Recorded?
