DESCRIPTION:The printed image shows our successes and our faults at a much higher level of detail than the digital image. To become better photographers\, it helps to understand this by creating the printed image as a final product. \nThis Month’s Printed Vision Session: Comparing Papers! \nWhat does it look like on Matte Paper? What does it look like on Glossy Paper? Why would I print it on one versus the other? What does the paper bring to my image?\nLeading up to the date of the session\, you’ll receive a pre-recorded video that discusses\, among other things some of the key differences between paper surfaces and present a variety of options for you to have your image printed. Then\, we will literally print the image two times so we can see the difference\, getting to the root of the answers.\nIn the end\, you will receive TWO prints of your edited image up to 8.5×11″ in size. (Please note: We are happy to make a larger print outside of the class for an additional fee! However\, we will review these in class to see how they look before making them larger!) \nJoin us for an informative Printed Vision class! \nA Note About The Printed Vision Series \nOur Print Review Monthly is a chance to continue the print conversation over the course of many months. For this class\, you can either choose a single session OR sign up for three months at a discounted rate.  You do not need to attend 3 consecutive sessions and may attend whenever it’s convenient. Choosing this option is excellent to keep the printing conversation going! However\, please note that the sessions expire after one year. DESCRIPTION:Join Hunt’s Photo Education for our Multi-Session Series. In our Multi-Session Series\, we will meet over the course of a number of weeks\, generally at the same time each week. During that time\, we will discuss a specific element of a topic and end the session by giving a photographic assignment. They will be recorded and you will be able to watch them at your leisure!\nOur Multi-Session Series is designed to “keep the conversation going” by engaging with our attendees in a more personal way. In each of these classes\, we will have 10-15 attendees and provide direct feedback on images. We encourage photographers of all skill levels to consider these classes\, as they will build upon your experience and provide an excellent chance to work on your imagery! \nMastering Manual Mode\nLearning about photography can be a real challenge. There are so many pieces to the puzzle of photography\, some of which use confusing terminology. For this reason\, we often start newcomers off using the Priority Modes because it’s “easier”. In reality\, these priority modes are just a short-term solution. It’s important to fully understand the “why” and “how” of your camera settings\, and learning to master manual is an excellent way to do so. \nThis Multi-Session Series will focus on Mastering Manual Mode. In week 1\, we’ll cover the technical side of aperture\, shutter\, and ISO. We’ll also discuss metering modes\, reading your meter\, and understanding histograms. In week 2\, we’ll learn to control depth of field\, focusing\, and how lens choice affects aperture choice. By week 3\, we’ll discuss how to use shutter speed effectively to either blur your motion or freeze your action. We’ll talk about shooting at night and in low light. We’ll also talk about ISO and how it controls image noise. In week 4\, we’ll put everything together by discussing dynamic range\, white balance\, and how to get the correct exposure in camera every time. We’ll also answer the most important question of all: which change should I make to achieve my desired results? \nEach week Emily will give an assignment to help further the topics covered in that week’s class. Students are encouraged to send in assignments that will be individually critiqued by Emily each week. However\, there are many levels to understanding in the program. What do we do to make basic changes? Once we learn those changes\, how can we “step it up” and figure out what to we’re supposed to do? How do we make images pop? And finally\, how do we put it all together and making finishing touches to our images.\nJoin Hunt’s Photo Education for this three-week course that helps answer many of these questions. What’s most important about this course is that we will give weekly editing assignments\, and we will review those edits at the start of the following week. Often\, Lightroom users struggle with the inability to determine what changes are “good” or “correct”. While those terms are subjective\, we will help you along in the editing process to see how to make determinations along the way.\nIn week one\, we’ll talk about file types and adjustment ranges using Basic Development controls. More than anything\, we will be emphasizing global changes and understanding what can be done with an image in Lightroom. In week two\, we’ll dive into Color\, Curves\, Contrast & Clarity & Texture and begin to discuss a variety of masking techniques. These changes will help make your images pop. DESCRIPTION:Join Hunt’s Photo Education for our Multi-Session Series. In our Multi-Session Series\, we will meet over the course of a number of weeks\, generally at the same time each week. During that time\, we will discuss a specific element of a topic and end the session by giving a photographic assignment. That assignment will be due for completion before the next class meeting\, and we will review those images at the start of the next session. If for some reason you cannot attend one of the sessions\, don’t worry! They will be recorded and you will be able to watch them at your leisure!\nOur Multi-Session Series is designed to “keep the conversation going” by engaging with our attendees in a more personal way. In each of these classes\, we will have 10-15 attendees and provide direct feedback on images. We encourage photographers of all skill levels to consider these classes\, as they will build upon your experience and provide an excellent chance to work on your imagery!\nLandscape Photography\nLandscape photography is one of the most easily accessible genres of photography and is enjoyed by many. What does it take to create a landscape image that stands out? Join Hunt’s Photo Education as we go beyond “F8 and be there” and dive deep into the technical\, artistic\, and practical aspects of landscape photography.\nIn week one\, we’ll cover what it takes to plan and the settings necessary for your best shots. We’ll also talk about the gear all landscape photographers should have in their bags and what to do when the weather just won’t cooperate. In week two\, we’ll edit landscape images from start to finish using Adobe Lightroom Classic. By week three\, we’ll discuss composition\, dynamic range\, depth of field\, and focus. We’ll also discuss when to shoot in color and when to shoot in black and white. In our last week\, we’ll cover shooting and editing HDR images and panorama images in Adobe Lightroom Classic. We’ll also cover shooting landscapes at night as well as astrolandscapes. Each week\, Emily will give an assignment to hone your new skills and each student will receive individualized critiques. We will reconvene a few days later for an online image review to discuss elements of your images.\nThe Personal Vision Series is a crossroads of many different ideas that we offer with Hunt’s Photo Education: Topic-based instruction/classes\, Photo Walks\, & Image Reviews. However\, unlike a Photo Walk where we will all take a certain direction\, for the “Walk” portion\, you will be asked to journey out on your own to photograph. This will cause you to be the driving force of your creativity and vision!\nThis month’s topic is “A Sense of the Season WITHOUT foliage”. Fall in New England is a spectacular and inspiring season.  Colors abound everywhere as tree foliage turn from green to brilliant yellows\, orange\, and red.  However\, there is much more to Fall in New England than colorful foliage.  Explore other aspects of the season without foliage. \nWe will have an instructional online presentation on the first date and will reconvene for our Image Review on the second date. You will have that time period in between to photograph and edit our assignment. Your personal creative voice is critical to your growth as a photographer and as an artist. DESCRIPTION:Photographers have been capturing cityscapes since the invention of the camera. Images of city skylines and urban landscapes show the passage of time in a unique way as the life advances year after year. \nEmily Hojnowski of Hunt’s Photo Education will share the various techniques she utilizes to capture breathtaking images of cities. We’ll discuss when to shoot for the best light\, how to use filters and other gear to accentuate effects\, and the key factors in composing cityscapes. We’ll also discuss the best methods when shooting waterfront scenes as well as how to incorporate city life into your images. \nJoin us\, do something fun\, and get creative!

SUMMARY:Online: Multi-Session Series- Editing in Adobe Lightroom Classic
DESCRIPTION:Join Hunt’s Photo Education for our new Multi-Session Series. In our Multi-Session Series\, we will meet over the course of a number of weeks\, generally at the same time each week. During that time\, we will discuss a specific element of a topic and end the session by giving a photographic assignment. That assignment will be due for completion before the next class meeting\, and we will review those images at the start of the next session. If for some reason you cannot attend one of the sessions\, don’t worry! They will be recorded and you will be able to watch them at your leisure!\nOur Multi-Session Series is designed to “keep the conversation going” by engaging with our attendees in a more personal way. In each of these classes\, we will have limited attendees and provide direct feedback on images. We encourage photographers of all skill levels to consider these classes\, as they will build upon your experience and provide an excellent chance to work on your imagery!\nEditing in Adobe Lightroom\nThis is a great opportunity to build up your editing skills in Lightroom!\nAdobe Lightroom is the choice program for professionals and amateurs\, with ever-growing capabilities and options. However\, there are many levels to understanding in the program. What do we do to make basic changes? Once we learn those changes\, how can we “step it up” and figure out what to we’re supposed to do? How do we make images pop? And finally\, how do we put it all together and making finishing touches to our images.\nJoin Hunt’s Photo Education for this three-week course that helps answer many of these questions. What’s most important about this course is that we will give weekly editing assignments\, and we will review those edits at the start of the following week. Often\, Lightroom users struggle with the inability to determine what changes are “good” or “correct”. While those terms are subjective\, we will help you along in the editing process to see how to make determinations along the way.\nIn week one\, we’ll talk about file types and adjustment ranges using Basic Development controls. More than anything\, we will be emphasizing global changes and understanding what can be done with an image in Lightroom. In week two\, we’ll dive into Color\, Curves\, Contrast & Clarity & Texture and begin to discuss a variety of masking techniques. These changes will help make your images pop. Finally\, in week three\, we’ll discuss advanced editing\, including Sharpening\, HDR\, Pano stitching and more.\nEach week\, we will give an assignment and students will upload their edited photos prior to the next class. We will\, by and large\, be working with your images in the class.\nThis class is strongly recommended for anyone either looking to just get started with editing\, or to fine-tune your editing skills!\nAfter you register for this class\, you will receive a confirmation email that will include information about how to access the online class\, including an online ID code that you will need to get into the class. Make sure to save this information.
