This online class invites you to explore photography through the lens of wabi sabi—the Japanese philosophy that celebrates impermanence\, imperfection\, and the simple\, unpolished beauty of the everyday world.\nThrough guided discussion\, visual examples\, and a creative assignment\, you’ll learn how to:\n\n\nSee beyond perfection and embrace the raw\, unrefined charm of your surroundings.\n\n\nWork with natural light\, texture\, and negative space to create images that feel grounded and authentic.\n\n\nDevelop a personal photographic practice that values mindfulness\, patience\, and presence.\n\n\nIn our presentation session\, we will discuss all about wabi sabi\, with varying examples of the concept. At the end of session 1\, we will give an assignment to complete for our second session.
