SUMMARY:Online: Special Guest Multi-Session- Creative Editing in Lightroom with Jackie Kramer
DESCRIPTION:Thursdays March 2nd & 9th\, 7pm EST \nHunt’s Photo Education welcomes photographer Jackie Kramer\, who will demonstrate how she uses tools in Adobe Lightroom to reveal the hidden magic in her images. She will go over how she determines what features to highlight in her subjects – light\, colors\, shapes\, etc.  And then will show how she applies global and local adjustments to bring those elements to life. Jackie will examine possibilities such as converting to black and white and adding color creatively using color grading\, masking features\, and the tone curve. Jackie will also explore areas such as how to address minor distractions in Lightroom and how to recompose\, when possible\, using the crop tool.\nYou will be given an assignment and the second part of the class will consist of a review in which Jackie will further the discussion and offer tips on how to refine your work. You will leave with a newfound desire to explore the tools in Lightroom and apply them to your own image in ways that are uniquely yours!\nAbout Jackie Kramer: Jackie has been photographing the natural world\, with an emphasis on flowers since high school. Jackie is a Lensbaby Ambassador and KelbyOne instructor who has received international acclaim for her images. Her work has been published in magazines\, such as Photoshop User\, Portfolio\, LensWork\, The Photographer Magazine\, and on the cover of NANPA Expressions.\nJackie’s true passion is to encourage people to live their legacy\, which she does primarily through her Facebook group\, Phlorography – Artistic Floral Photography\, with passionate floral photographers from around the world. She is committed to supporting other photographers and using photography as a medium to build relationships and enrich each other?s lives. \n\nRegistering and what is needed\nAfter you register for this class\, you will receive a confirmation email that will include information about how to access the online class\, including an online ID code that you will need to get into the class. SUMMARY:Online: Special Guest Multi-Session- Turn Your Backyard into a Wildlife Studio with Joe & Mary Ann McDonald
DESCRIPTION:Wednesday March 8th & 15th\, 7pm EST ? Optional third session March 29th \nWhy travel when some of your most rewarding bird and other wildlife photographs may be right outside your door? Joe and Mary Ann McDonald will show you how you can create easy set ups for making great bird portraits of songbirds\, woodpeckers\, and other species.\nThis class will can either be taken as two or three sessions. In the first session\, Joe and Mary Ann will discuss setting up your backyard studio. Setting up a backyard studio is easy\, and they will provide plenty of examples and ideas for attracting birds and other wildlife for photography. In the second\, they will focus on photographic techniques to make the most of your opportunities.  Photo techniques will include discussions on the best camera settings\, lenses and tripods\, fill-flash\, and even remote triggers for special\, hard to get shots.\nRegistrants will also have the opportunity to participate in a special third session which will have a critique of personally submitted images. If you would like to participate in this third session\, make sure to register for the correct ticket type.\nAbout Joe and Mary Ann McDonald: Joe and Mary Ann McDonald have been a professional wildlife photography team for over 35 years. They are the authors of over 40 books and have been published in every major natural history magazine in the US. They are field editors for Nature Photographer magazine and both have been awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award by the North American Nature Photography Association. Today\, Joe and Mary Ann lead tours to Africa and South America\, as well as maintaining a YouTube channel and writing how-to ebooks.
