SUMMARY:Capture the Moment North Boston: Photographing Action and Action Portraits with Sony and Tony Gale
DESCRIPTION:Hunt’s Photo Education and Sony Digital Imaging are excited to announce Capture the Moment North Boston: Photographing Action and Action Portraits\, featuring Sony Ambassador Tony Gale! \nIn this event\, photographers will have numerous opportunities to capture action. There will be separate shooting areas featuring models and off-camera flash/strobe and LED lighting\, each designed to create dynamic and beautiful imagery\, but also capture movement gracefully. The graceful gestures of a dancer\, the agility of an acrobat\, and the energy of an athlete are just some of the opportunities you will be able to capture during this jam-packed afternoon. \nThis event is sponsored by Sony\, but ALL photographers\, regardless what camera you have\, are encouraged to attend. Sony loaner gear (cameras and lenses) will be available for ANYONE interested! (Make sure to bring a driver’s license and credit card for loaners.) \nThis event will be held at Olio wedding & event space in Peabody\, MA\, an historic and beautifully renovated venue that is the perfect backdrop for the day! The afternoon will begin at 12pm with an introduction by Sony Ambassador Tony Gale who will discuss action portraits and the importance of creating dynamic imagery. Attendees will then have the ability to photograph our model dancers\, acrobats\, athletes\, and more\, all with off-camera flash/strobe provided generously by Westcott and Sony and LED lighting provided by Nanlite. Of course\, Sony loaner gear is also available. (You don’t need to be a Sony shooter to attend this event; you also don’t need to be a Sony shooter to loan Sony gear!  😉 \nLight food and refreshments will also be available for attendees. \nAnd if all that wasn’t enough\, every photographer that attends will receive a $25 credit towards their purchase at Hunt’s Photo\, courtesy of Sony. \nOur Capture the Moment events aim to inspire and invigorate photographers to create something amazing. Join us for this fantastic opportunity! \n  \nAbout Tony: \nSony Ambassador Tony Gale is a NYC based award winning portrait  photographer shooting for a range of advertising\, editorial and corporate clients. Tony was raised in Bellingham\, Washington (90 miles north of Seattle) and spent most of his time as a child exploring the woods behind his parents house. At 19 after visiting Bruce Lee’s grave in Seattle\, and taking his first photo with a disposable camera\, he bought his first camera. He promptly broke it and bought his first SLR. At 21\, he moved to Seattle to pursue photography and in fall of 2000 moved to NYC\, the center of the world. \nTony has taught photographic lighting at FIT in NYC and Parsons the New School for Design\, judged photo contests\, and has traveled the country leading workshops for American Photographic Artists.
