SUMMARY:Hunt's Photo Adventure: Valley of Fire\, NV
DESCRIPTION:Workshop Description \nWorld-renowned for its 40\,000 acres of bright red Aztec sandstone outcrops nestled in gray and tan limestone\, Valley of Fire contains ancient\, petrified trees and petroglyphs dating back more than 2\,000 years. The sandstone is from the Jurassic period and is the remnant of the sand left behind by the wind after inland seas subsided and the land rose. Early man moved into southern Nevada as far back as 11\,000 years ago. The most obvious evidence of occupation is the petroglyphs carved into the rocks by the Basketmaker culture about 2\,500 years ago\, followed later by the Early Pueblo culture. SUMMARY:Online: Multi-Session Series- Editing in Adobe Lightroom Classic Pt 2
DESCRIPTION:Join Hunt’s Photo Education for our new Multi-Session Series. In our Multi-Session Series\, we will meet over the course of a number of weeks\, generally at the same time each week. During that time\, we will discuss a specific element of a topic and end the session by giving a photographic assignment. That assignment will be due for completion before the next class meeting\, and we will review those images at the start of the next session. If for some reason you cannot attend one of the sessions\, don’t worry! They will be recorded and you will be able to watch them at your leisure!\nOur Multi-Session Series is designed to “keep the conversation going” by engaging with our attendees in a more personal way. In each of these classes\, we will have limited attendees and provide direct feedback on images. We encourage photographers of all skill levels to consider these classes\, as they will build upon your experience and provide an excellent chance to work on your imagery!\nEditing in Adobe Lightroom\nThis is a great opportunity to build up your editing skills in Lightroom!\nAdobe Lightroom is the choice program for professionals and amateurs\, with ever-growing capabilities and options. However\, there are many levels to understanding in the program. What do we do to make basic changes? Once we learn those changes\, how can we “step it up” and figure out what to we’re supposed to do? How do we make images pop? And finally\, how do we put it all together and making finishing touches to our images.\nJoin Hunt’s Photo Education for this three-week course that helps answer many of these questions. What’s most important about this course is that we will give weekly editing assignments\, and we will review those edits at the start of the following week. Often\, Lightroom users struggle with the inability to determine what changes are “good” or “correct”. While those terms are subjective\, we will help you along in the editing process to see how to make determinations along the way.\nIn week one\, we’ll talk about file types and adjustment ranges using Basic Development controls. More than anything\, we will be emphasizing global changes and understanding what can be done with an image in Lightroom. In week two\, we’ll dive into Color\, Curves\, Contrast & Clarity & Texture. These changes will help make your images pop. Finally\, in week three\, we’ll discuss advanced editing\, including Sharpening\, HDR\, Pano stitching and more.\nEach week\, we will give an assignment and students will upload their edited photos prior to the next class. SUMMARY:Hunt's Photo Adventure: The Bold Coast of Maine\, Lubec
DESCRIPTION:Tucked into the far northeast corner of Maine is the fishing village of Lubec. Once a thriving fishing community\, Lubec is now a quiet coastal town surrounded by the remnants of their fishing legacy and the rugged\, sprawling Bold Coast. Lubec features West Quoddy Head Lighthouse\, rustic fishing harbors\, and many photographic opportunities along the coast. We encourage photographers of all skill levels to consider these classes\, as they will build upon your experience and provide an excellent chance to work on your imagery!\nEditing in Adobe Lightroom\nThis is a great opportunity to build up your editing skills in Lightroom!\nAdobe Lightroom is the choice program for professionals and amateurs\, with ever-growing capabilities and options. However\, there are many levels to understanding in the program. What do we do to make basic changes? Once we learn those changes\, how can we “step it up” and figure out what to we’re supposed to do? How do we make images pop? And finally\, how do we put it all together and making finishing touches to our images.\nJoin Hunt’s Photo Education for this three-week course that helps answer many of these questions. What’s most important about this course is that we will give weekly editing assignments\, and we will review those edits at the start of the following week. Often\, Lightroom users struggle with the inability to determine what changes are “good” or “correct”. While those terms are subjective\, we will help you along in the editing process to see how to make determinations along the way.\nIn week one\, we’ll talk about file types and adjustment ranges using Basic Development controls. More than anything\, we will be emphasizing global changes and understanding what can be done with an image in Lightroom. I was really impressed with the whole experience. Great instructors!!?\n?Everything was condensed and taught at a basic level which helped with the confusion I had before coming to class. Bottom Line: Great class for confused beginners.?\n?Everything about this class was excellent. The instructors were patient and took time to answer every question thoroughly and we were given ample time to try out the techniques we were being shown. All in all\, a wonderful experience.?\n?Very much liked the instructors- knowledgeable\, entertaining\, encouraging\, not judgmental. Loved the casual nature of the class and opportunity for one-on-one discussions. Excellent for me\, as a novice.?

North Conway\, NH\n Image Review: Tuesday July 11th\, 7pm ??Online!\nJoin Hunt’s Photo Education for a day photographing in and around North Conway in Central New Hampshire! This workshop will feature waterfalls\, landscapes\, street photography\, and lots of story telling.  Photographers of all levels are welcome!\nWe will start photographing at Diana?s Baths in North Conway in the morning to work with filters and waterfalls\, then continue along to Echo Lake for landscapes and natural details. We will take a break for lunch in town\, then continue with street photography and storytelling along the main drag in town. We will end the day exploring the rail yard.\nAfter the workshop\, we will reconvene for an image review\, where we will discuss a small handful of your images!

SUMMARY:Hunt's Photo Walk: Sunset on the Charles River Esplanade
DESCRIPTION:Join Hunt’s Photo Education for a photo walk featuring sunset along the Charles River Esplanade.\nThe Charles River Esplanade has experienced immense changes over the past 100 years to what we see today. Originally “The Embankment”\, the area expanded in the first half of the 20th century to include boat landings\, playgrounds\, trees and plant life\, and the Hatch Memorial Shell. In the second half of the 20th century\, Storrow Drive and the Dr. Paul Dudley White Bike Path–an 18-mile stretch– were added.\nPhotography will start at the Storrow Lagoon location working our way along the Charles River and back towards the Longfellow Bridge. We will explore scenes and compositions as we go making use of the golden hour light until ending at our final location\, a dusk shot of the city of Boston and the Longfellow Bridge!  Photographers of all skill levels are encouraged to attend!

In these classes\, we will give an overview on a specific topic in an online class session\, then give you time to go into the field to complete an assignment based on that topic. We will reconvene a few days later for an online image review to discuss elements of your images.\nIn this month?s topic\, we’ll discuss HDR: How to effectively shoot HDR in the field\, process it\, and then create a final image. In this workshop\, we will show you how to load film into a developing tank\, discuss the elements of the chemistry involved\, and other various aspects. Because of the many variables\, we will only be using one specific type of developer\, but we will discuss the possibilities of other developers available and their advantages.\nWe will provide tanks\, reels\, chemistry\, and basically anything that you need to develop your film. All you will need to have is a roll of film to develop. Important: Make sure the roll of film is black & white and not C-41.\nPlease note: Since your film will be wet at the end of the session\, you will leave it to dry and pick it up at a later time.

DESCRIPTION:Developed by photographers\, for photographers\, Adobe Lightroom provides amateur enthusiast and photographers with the necessary tools for basic image management and high-level image post-production.\nThis course focuses on how to organize your images for quick retrieval via keywords\, ratings\, and more\, as well as giving a description on how to consider organizing your photos on your computer. Specifically\, we will cover:\n?Brief Computer File Management\n?Importance of Keywords\n?Attributes– flagging\, rating\, color coding\n?Searching metadata to find images\n?And more!\nLightroom is an extremely robust and important manager of files\, and knowing how to utilize it is paramount to being able to find and edit your images!\nRegistering and what is needed\nAfter you register for this class\, you will receive a confirmation email that will include information about how to access the online class\, including an online ID code that you will need to get into the class. Make sure to save this information. We will also send a reminder email about 48 hours prior to the class time with that same information.\nLayout of the class\nThe class will begin promptly at the time listed. The majority of the class–roughly 1 hour– will be a presentation on the topic\, followed by a short Q&A. During the class\, you are welcome to type in questions in the Chat box if you have specific questions as they are asked.
