SUMMARY:Hunt's Photo Adventure: Great Smoky Mountain National Park
DESCRIPTION:Workshop Description \nSpring time in Great Smoky Mountain National Park is a photographer’s paradise. The Smokies are renowned for their diversity of nature\, abundant plant and wildlife\, rushing streams\, and ancient mountains. The month of April reveals many beautiful aspects of Spring throughout the park as we explore and pursue a variety of subject matter. In Cades Cove\, we will explore the cultural elements of the mountain people. Along Tremont\, we will expand our creativity by photographing rushing water and quiet landscapes. Throughout the park there is an abundance of wildflowers and wildlife to enjoy. From the top of Clingman’s Dome\, we will capture mountain vista’s that are breathtaking. Each day\, we will work on concepts of Subject Development\, Exposure\, Image Composition\, Architectural Photography\, Black and White Photography\, Low Light Photography\, and Long Exposures. There is nothing quite like the Great Smoky Mountains.\nWe will maximize our time in the field with hands on instruction as well as incorporating group discussion\, classroom instruction\, and image review during the workshop. Once on location\, we will utilize local transportation to and from each destination. \nWhat’s included:\n•Daily excursions in and around locations in Great Smoky Mountain National Park\n•In-field instruction at each location\n•Picnic lunches \nWhat’s not included:\n•Air fare and transportation to Gatlinburg\, TN\n•Cost of hotel (We will be staying at the Black Bear Inn in Gatlinburg 865-436-5656)\n•Cost of food\n•Travel insurance (which is highly recommended for all travelers) \nA Note About Traveling to Gatlinburg: It is recommended to fly into McGhee-Tyson airport in Knoxville. There will be long days that include sunrise and sunset on the same day. SUMMARY:Hunt's Photo Adventure: Puffins\, Highlands & South Coast Landscapes in Iceland
DESCRIPTION:Join us for an extraordinary photography adventure in Iceland where we’ll focus on capturing its iconic puffins and diverse birdlife\, as well as the dramatic landscapes of the Highlands and South Coast. This immersive workshop is designed for photographers who want to refine their skills while exploring Iceland’s untamed beauty. \nWe’ll begin along Iceland’s dramatic South Coast\, photographing towering waterfalls\, volcanic landscapes\, black sand beaches\, dramatic sea stacks and rugged coastal formations. We’ll also have the opportunity to photograph puffins\, putting us right in the middle of Iceland’s wild coastal environment from the very beginning of the adventure. \nFrom the South Coast\, we’ll head into the Icelandic Highlands\, where the landscape becomes increasingly remote and otherworldly. Here\, we’ll explore colorful mountains\, vast lava fields\, volcanic craters\, braided rivers and dramatic waterfalls. This portion of the journey will give us plenty of opportunities to work on landscape composition\, light and the challenge of photographing Iceland’s constantly changing conditions. \nOur journey then continues north toward the Westfjords\, where the focus shifts back to Iceland’s remarkable birdlife. We’ll visit a private island by boat for dedicated puffin photography\, with opportunities to photograph Atlantic puffins\, cormorants\, Arctic terns and other seabirds. With dedicated time in the field\, we’ll work on flight photography\, animal behavior and capturing those fleeting moments that make wildlife photography so rewarding. \nThroughout the adventure\, expert instruction in a small-group setting will give you hands-on experience in wildlife\, landscape and action photography.
