SUMMARY:The Printed Vision: Editing for the Final Print- Hunt's Photo\, Melrose

In addition to that\, we’ll discuss how paper type affects mood and what papers there are out there to influence your vision! We’ll also take one of your images and print it in a size up to 13×19″ on Fine Art paper. (Please note: The cost of a 12?18 or 13?19 print on fine art paper is $35-$40; the cost of this class includes the cost of that print! Each day\, we will work on concepts of Subject Development\, Exposure\, Image Composition\, Architectural Photography\, Black and White Photography\, Low Light Photography\, and Long Exposures. There is nothing quite like the Great Smoky Mountains.\nWe will maximize our time in the field with hands on instruction as well as incorporating group discussion\, classroom instruction\, and image review during the workshop. SUMMARY:Hunt's Photo Adventure: Wild Horses in Utah
DESCRIPTION:Workshop Description\nJoin Hunt’s Photo Education for our annual adventure to photograph the Wild Horses of Utah! Join us for four days of in-field photography and instruction as we search out and photograph one of the herds of wild horses in Utah!\nThis is a unique photography workshop right out of ?The Old West?! Wild Horses have occupied this mountainous region of Utah since the late 1800?s. The herd is approximately 200 ? 250 horses and is the largest herd of wild horses in the west. Mares and stallions average around 800 to 1000 pounds. The colors within the herd are brown\, bay\, paint\, sorrel\, roan\, buckskin\, black\, palomino\, and gray. The variety is endless due to the frequent breeding within the herd. There are many foal\, yearlings and colts that roam with the herd. The horses are in good condition and are frequently seen in the vicinity of the Pony Express Trail in the valley floor. On this workshop\, we will photograph the wild horses as well as other local scenes and wildlife.\nOn this workshop\, you will want to bring a variety of lenses\, from wide-angle to super-telephoto. The distance to your subjects can vary\, as the horses can be right next to you or far in the distance\, but it is certainly recommended to consider bringing a super-telephoto in the range of 500-600mm. Please keep in mind that you can always rent lenses from?Hunt’s Rentals?and at a decent cost!\nWe will maximize our time in the field shooting a multitude of subjects as well as incorporating classroom instruction\, critiques\, and photographic assignments each day.\nWhat?s included:\n? SUMMARY:Analog Love- Working with Large Format Film: Portraits
DESCRIPTION:In the days of film\, 35mm was the standard format\, 120 was medium format (often called “2 1/4”\, describing it in inches)\, and anything larger than that was considered “large format”. Large Format film photography consisted of 4×5″ and larger sizes of negatives\, with 4×5 being the most common\, followed by 8×10″ and 5×7″. Large format films require specific cameras and lenses and are very different experiences than working with modern digital cameras.\nLarge format film photography creates large negatives\, and the advantage to those negatives are the vast detail that they capture as well as an incredible range of depth of field. Although modern digital cameras are amazing\, the large format “look” cannot be duplicated by modern cameras and is unique.\nJoin Hunt’s Photo Education’s Paul Nelson\, who has been photographing with 4×5 cameras and film for over 20 years\, for the first in a series of classes on working with large format photography! In this workshop\, we will begin by learning the basics of large format cameras\, including setting up\, attaching lenses\, using the focusing rails\, learning how to focus\, and how to see focus on the ground glass. We’ll continue by loading film into film holders\, then put it all into practice by taking portraits! In the end\, we’ll develop the film and you’ll end up with some spectacular large format images!\nDoes this all sound foreign? Don’t fret!\n?If you don’t have a 4×5 camera\, we can provide you with one! Make sure to let us know upon registration if you will need a 4×5 camera!\n?You do not have to have ANY experience with large format or film photography! All you need is a passion for the subject!\n?We will provide up to 10 sheets of 4×5 film and film holders to each attendee. (If you plan to bring a camera larger than 4×5\, please let us know. An additional charge may apply for larger format films.)\n?We will provide any chemistry for developing black & white film.\nCome check out the incredible\, unique look of large format!

If for some reason you cannot attend one of the sessions\, don’t worry! They will be recorded and you will be able to watch them at your leisure!\nOur Multi-Session Series is designed to “keep the conversation going” by engaging with our attendees in a more personal way. In each of these classes\, we will have 10-15 attendees and provide direct feedback on images. We encourage photographers of all skill levels to consider these classes\, as they will build upon your experience and provide an excellent chance to work on your imagery!\nLandscape Photography\nLandscape photography is one of the most easily accessible genres of photography and is enjoyed by many. In week two\, we’ll edit landscape images from start to finish using Adobe Lightroom Classic. By week three\, we’ll discuss composition\, dynamic range\, depth of field\, and focus. We’ll also discuss when to shoot in color and when to shoot in black and white. In our last week\, we’ll cover shooting and editing HDR images and panorama images in Adobe Lightroom Classic. We’ll also cover shooting landscapes at night as well as astrolandscapes. Each week\, Emily will give an assignment to hone your new skills and each student will receive individualized critiques. Emily is also available to answer any questions along the way.\nJoin us for this fun and unique multi-session series that will help you develop your skills with landscapes!\nRegistering and what is needed\nAfter you register for this class\, you will receive a confirmation email that will include information about how to access the online class\, including an online ID code that you will need to get into the class.
