DESCRIPTION:Join Hunt’s Photo Education for a photo walk at Downtown Crossing in Boston. Chinatown and Downtown Crossing (and areas in between) are two easily recognizable areas in downtown Boston. Boston’s Chinatown is quite small in size\, but has many unique sites and is the last remaining historic Chinese area in New England. Downtown Crossing is home to street vendors and a myriad number of shopping establishments with bright lights. Sandwiched in between is the Theater District of Boston. All three provide excellent opportunities to photograph the unique architecture and people of the area. Photographers of all skill levels are encouraged to attend.

SUMMARY:Hunt's Photo Adventure: Bosque del Apache National Wildlife Refuge (with optional White Sands Extension!)
DESCRIPTION:Bosque Del Apache National Wildlife Refuge\, located in the Rio Grande Valley of New Mexico\, has been a prime destination for bird photographers for decades. The wildlife refuge here is a series of man-made waterways\, fields\, and woodlands established to create habitat and food for migratory birds such as Sandhill Cranes and Snow Geese. Each year\, thousands of these bird’s rest and forage here for weeks during their annual migration. Photography opportunities for birds\, other wildlife\, and landscapes are plentiful\, exciting\, and very rewarding. Photographers of all levels will be challenged by the diversity of subjects as well as the unique beauty that is New Mexico.\nIn addition to photographing wildlife\, this year we will be adding in an extension to White Sands National Park\, only a short drive away. White Sands is unique for its stunning and minimal landscapes and are an added bonus for photographers of every skill level. \nAttendees are encouraged to arrive either the day prior to the workshop or early enough on the first day of the workshop with time to drive from Albuquerque to Socorro (90 minutes) \nItinerary\nDec 7 or 8– Arrive in Albuquerque. DESCRIPTION:In a continuation of our Digital Photography Basics 1 class\, this course continues by discussing more very important elements\, including how to get better results with focusing\, depth of field\, photographing in RAW vs JPEG and more! This course offers an excellent opportunity to continue learning about the many elements of Digital Photography! \nJoin us as we continue learning about Digital Photography! \nRegistering and what is needed\nAfter you register for this class\, you will receive a confirmation email that will include information about how to access the online class\, including an online ID code that you will need to get into the class. Make sure to save this information. We will also send a reminder email about 48 hours prior to the class time with that same information. \nLayout of the class\nThe class will begin promptly at the time listed. The majority of the class–roughly 1 hour– will be a presentation on the topic\, followed by a short Q&A. SUMMARY:Printed Vision: Making a Fine Art Print- Hunt's Melrose or Online!
DESCRIPTION:The printed image shows our successes and our faults at a much higher level of detail than the digital image. To become better photographers\, it helps to understand this by creating the printed image as a final product. \nThis Printed Vision Session: Making a Fine Art Print\nTo print fine art or not to print fine art: That is the question. What does it mean to make a fine art print? What photographic papers define fine art? What editing choices should we make to get through the emotions of the print? How do we calculate our editing with our paper choices? \nIn the first session\, we will discuss the topic and elaborate on editing with examples. This will include discussion of exposure\, dynamic range and color\, but also deeper points\, such as noise reduction\, image sharpening and grain. In between sessions 1 and 2\, attendees will independently process 1-2 images and submit them to the instructor for printing. The instructor will send back a video image review discussing what you did and how to improve your edits for print. The instructor will then print one of the images to be displayed in the Print Review\, which will take place both in-person and online\, in case you cannot attend live. In the end of each session\, you will end up with a print up to 13×19” on Fine Art paper to take home with you. DESCRIPTION:The printed image shows our successes and our faults at a much higher level of detail than the digital image. To become better photographers\, it helps to understand this by creating the printed image as a final product. \nThis Printed Vision Session: Making a Fine Art Print\nTo print fine art or not to print fine art: That is the question. What does it mean to make a fine art print? What photographic papers define fine art? What editing choices should we make to get through the emotions of the print? How do we calculate our editing with our paper choices? \nIn the first session\, we will discuss the topic and elaborate on editing with examples. This will include discussion of exposure\, dynamic range and color\, but also deeper points\, such as noise reduction\, image sharpening and grain. In between sessions 1 and 2\, attendees will independently process 1-2 images and submit them to the instructor for printing. The instructor will send back a video image review discussing what you did and how to improve your edits for print. The instructor will then print one of the images to be displayed in the Print Review\, which will take place both in-person and online\, in case you cannot attend live. In the end of each session\, you will end up with a print up to 13×19” on Fine Art paper to take home with you. Photographers of all skill levels are encouraged to attend.\nNubble Light is a premiere destination for photographers. The Lighthouse is a simple beauty to behold\, with solid and simple colors that photograph well\, but under different lighting conditions can create vibrant\, striking images. Every year\, Nubble Light is decorated with very simple holiday lights that give the lighthouse a truly classic look that must be seen.

SUMMARY:Hunt's Photo Workshop: Water Drops (and more!)
DESCRIPTION:Water Drop Photography is a style wherein one drops a liquid into another liquid and photographs it in a way that emphasizes the “unseeable”–little droplets\, the corona of the drop\, and more. This style uses high speed flash in order to stop the action instead of fast shutter speed. It is a simple technique that can be achieved with even the most rudimentary gear\, but it can produce infinitely different results. Just like snowflakes\, you’ll never be able to duplicate a water drop.\nIn this workshop\, we will begin with a live demo describing the gear\, settings\, set-up\, and execution of water drop photography. We’ll then dive right in\, beginning simply and then moving on to not just water droplets\, but also other items! Photographers of all skill levels are welcome\, but one should come with patience!\nTwo important notes: We will be using flash in this workshop. You do not need to own a flash\, and we may use only what we have anyway\, but you are welcome to bring one if you have one in order to understand how to replicate it on your own. Also\, to minimize on gear and space\, we will be working in groups of two. (Trust us\, it’s easier!)

DESCRIPTION:Join Hunt’s Photo Education for an experience photographing at the Basin in Franconia\, New Hampshire. On this walk\, we will work in the elements of the Basin and capture the winter landscape. All skill levels are encouraged to attend. \nThe Basin is a series of small waterfalls in that cuts down the side of a hill. At the bottom there is the granite amphitheater cut out of the stone by the ice and water. This is an excellent opportunity to photograph and work on long exposures with moving water\, winter scenes\, ice abstracts\, and more!
