Hunt’s Photo Walk: Emerging Series- Using Filters at the Old Stone Church

Tuesday, October 20th, 5-7:30pm • West Boylston, MA

***Please note postponed makeup date!***

Recommended prerequisite: Working knowledge of your camera
We also recommend having some of the knowledge from our Beginner Photography class

All Skill Levels Welcome

Instructor: Emily Hojnowski

Class Size: Maximum 8 attendees

This Walk is part of our Emerging Series, as we cautiously begin to emerge from the COVID-19 lockdown. For this series of walks, we have chosen areas that are more spread out and with less foot traffic. We will also be limiting our group size to a maximum of 8 attendees with one instructor. After the course description (but before registration) will be guidelines for these walks. Please make sure to read them prior to registering.

Walk Description
Join Hunt’s Photo Education as we discuss long exposures and using filters on the Old Stone Church in West Boylston. On this walk, you will learn to utilize the best light, read your histogram to create the best exposure, and a bit about long exposures and using filters on your subject. This is a perfect opportunity to use neutral density filters for long exposures of the church on the Wachusett Reservoir.

Emerging Series- A Guideline for Photo Walks during the era of COVID-19
As the COVID lockdown ends and social restrictions begin to ease, we have decided to start offering our popular Hunt’s Photo Walks again.
Hunt’s Photo Education remains dedicated to the health and safety of every single attendee, student, and customer, first and foremost. We also are committed to the best possible learning experience. We have put forth rules and guidelines for Photo Walks that occur during the era of COVID.
•We will have no more than 6-8 attendees per Photo Walk with a single instructor
•We ask that all attendees wear a mask. (Please make sure the mask covers your mouth and nose.)
•We ask that all attendees socially distance 6 feet from one another, unless you are attending with the other person
•Hunt’s Photo Educators will be unable to physically handle others’ cameras
•Consider bringing sanitizing wipes and hand sanitizer
•If you are sick or feeling unwell, stay home! We will gladly give you credit towards a future walk!

These guidelines will stay in place until further notice. We appreciate your patience and understanding during this time. If you have any questions, feel free to contact us at classes@huntsphoto.com.

Register here

If you are attending this walk, we will send out more specific instructions to you a few days prior to the walk. Please note: Some slight details above can be subject to change. This email will detail any of those minor changes.
Please read Hunt’s Terms & Conditions before signing up.

Dress and Gear

•Wide angle and standard zoom lenses are recommended
•You can bring a telephoto zoom lens, but be advised to bring only what you want to carry.

•A tripod will be a necessity on this walk for long exposure.
•Feel free to bring snacks and water.
•Bring an extra camera battery and memory cards.
•As always, bring your enthusiasm and creative thoughts!
