Instructor (S. Portland): Rick Berk
Class Size: 6 attendees maximum
Class Level: Beyond Basic
“The world’s best imaging and design app”, this course teaches the basic layout and tools, and how to begin to effectively edit your vision. This entry level course will cover many of the basics of the program, including where to find many of the key tools, what they do, and how and why to use them. Due to the intensive nature of Photoshop, we generally recommend to bring a laptop in order to follow along to see the myriad number of options available in the program.
In this course, we will be working with and explaining the following:
•Basic Photoshop workflow
•Adobe Camera RAW
•Creating layers in your image
•An introduction to adjustment layers
•An introduction to masks
This course is the first class to take when delving into Photoshop. There is no prerequisite, but computer knowledge is helpful.
Recommendation: Please read before signing up for this class
We recommend bringing a laptop for this class with Adobe Photoshop CC installed. Please be advised: Photoshop CC is the only version we recommend for this class. Please make sure it is downloaded and make sure you can open it prior to arriving. Due to the size of the program, you will be unable to download or update the program in our stores. Also, please be advised that Adobe Photoshop Elements and older versions of Photoshop have very different layouts and will not translate as well for this class.
