What to Bring:
  • Make sure to bring your camera and any lenses you want to learn about.
  • If you own a tripod make sure to bring it, along with the quick release (and possibly a shutter release).
  • You’re also welcome to bring any other photographic items that you’re unclear about, but remember: keep it simple.
  • Bring an extra camera battery (make sure to charge it!) and memory cards.
  • As always, bring your enthusiasm and creative thoughts!
Recommended Prerequisites:
We recommend taking our Beginner Photography class (or have basic understanding of those concepts) before you take this class.

After learning ?the basics? of digital photography, become more comfortable in the world of digital photography by taking the next step.
The question always arises: What’s the next class to take? Look no further than this class, which will cover a range of topics to get you more comfortable to shooting in the field. In this class, we’ll take the next steps beyond the basics, while also referring back to what we previously covered. We’ll be covering a little bit of everything, including…
?Focusing areas and modes (and a little manual focus!)
?How to get the most out of your tripod
?Various lens options and settings
?Using filters
?Release modes and timers
?The essential points to look at after you take your photos
Understanding the full-functionality of your camera is a necessity to improving your flexibility when photographing in a variety of situations. This course is designed to help you feel more comfortable about how to change your camera?s settings in those situations. It is recommended as a follow-up to our Beginner Photography course.
