Class Summary
April 24 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
The printed image shows our successes and our faults at a much higher level of detail than the digital image. To become better photographers, it helps to understand this by creating the printed image as a final product.
This Month’s Printed Vision Session: Sustainable Printing Surfaces
One of the newer photographic lines of paper on the market is Hahnemuhle’s Natural Line, which includes Bamboo, Agave, Hemp, and Sugar Cane. These papers are made from a majority of these materials which require minimal maintenance, grow quickly, don’t need any pesticides, and use less water. They are thus more sustainable than the majority of papers on the market and provide a unique look at the future of digital printing.
In this session, we will discuss these papers, their advantages, and what images work best on them. We’ll also take a look at a few other options, including using recycled papers! In the end, you can either receive a 13×19″ print or a pair of smaller prints (utilizing two different natural surfaces). Our Print Review will take place just a few days after Earth Day!
Join us for an informative Printed Vision class!
A Note About The Printed Vision Series
Our Print Review Monthly is a chance to continue the print conversation over the course of many months. For this class, you can either choose a single session OR sign up for three months at a discounted rate. You do not need to attend 3 consecutive sessions and may attend whenever it’s convenient. Choosing this option is excellent to keep the printing conversation going! However, please note that the sessions expire after one year. These sessions are excellent for anyone:
• Someone that wants a little help with editing before they get a print
• Someone that does print but has print-related questions
• A person that prints often and wants to try a different paper
• Someone with no knowledge of printing that just wants to get a print!
Come check out why printing is the best thing to do for your photography!
In-Person or Online
This class will be taking place in-person in our Melrose store location and online, in case you cannot attend live. If you cannot attend live, your print can either be mailed to you or picked up at one of our Hunt’s Photo store locations.
