Any photographer that uses a flash will tell you: You’ll get the best results when you take it off the camera. But why? And what do you look for in your imagery? What camera and flash settings do we use? What kind of triggers do you need and how do you use them? How do you integrate your flash in an outdoor scene? How do you use it in a studio environment? How do we create dramatic lighting? How can we create different qualities of light?
This class specifically focuses on using flash OFF-camera with light modifiers and gives a more hands-on opportunity to use flash. The workshop will cover light modifiers, gobos, gels, and an in-depth description of how to make it work, including external remote triggering.
You can bring your flashes, triggers and light modifiers to this workshop, or you can come without any of those things! We will work with multiple options and explain how to make all these things to work together with practical, hands-on application. Come learn why it’s essential to take your flash off of your camera!
