Join Hunt’s Photo Educator Emily Hojnowski and photographer Tessa Klingensmith for a unique walk in the North End…with film cameras!

On this walk, we will photograph around the North End utilizing your film cameras. (You can also bring a digital camera, but the emphasis will be about shooting on film!) Amongst other topics, we will talk about exposure, focus, and composition. Attendees will need to have a working film camera and at least one roll of film.

After the walk, you can either bring in your roll of film to Hunt’s to have it developed OR, if you want to learn about film processing, you can sign up for our Developing Film classes!  (Scanning is included in the cost of that class!)
This walk is an excellent opportunity to work on so many varying elements and your skills as a photographer!

A few notes about our Film Photo Walks
• Attendees should have a working film camera that they can use for the walk as well as any film they would like to use.
• Please make sure you have a working battery in the camera.
• If you are unsure whether your camera is fully functional, we strongly recommend you contact us at classes@huntsphoto.com and schedule a time that we can check it out!
• It is also strongly recommended that you either load the film in advance or have an understanding of how to load the film. Again, if you’re unsure, contact us at classes@huntsphoto.com

• You can choose to shoot in black & white or color film. If you are unsure, a good place to start for black & white film is Kodak Tri-X or Ilford HP5+, and for color Kodak Gold or Ultramax, or Fujifilm Superia. There are so many other brands and styles, but these are the most basic and easy-to-use.

• Our instructors know film cameras! But we don’t always know EVERY camera immediately, so as we state above, please plan accordingly if you’re unsure.
• And if you do not have a film camera, Hunt’s Photo stocks a great deal of used film cameras!

• This is a film photo walk. You’re also welcome to bring a digital camera, but the emphasis will be about shooting on film!
