Refund Policy – Adventures

For most Photo Adventures, a deposit of 25% of the total cost of the workshop is required to hold a spot. Please note: Deposits are non-refundable, but you can receive a 50% credit toward a future adventure. Within 45-days, all payments are non-transferable.
For Photo Adventures under $1,000, we may only have the total cost payment option. In this case, 25% is non-refundable.
For national adventures (excluding Alaska), final payments are due one month prior to the start of the workshop.
For international adventures (and Alaska), final payments are due 90-days prior to the start of the workshop. We strongly encourage travel insurance!

Workshop Description
The mountainous region of northwest Scotland, known as the Scottish Highlands, is a landscape photographers delight. The Highlands, created centuries ago by fire and ice, are an inspiring mix of dramatic mountains, moody lakes, and dynamic light. The scenery here is simply stunning. Our journey through the Highlands will also take us through quaint villages, ancient castles, renowned distilleries, and more. By design we will explore the rugged landscapes of the Highlands while also enjoying the best of Scotland’s proud culture too. Undoubtedly, the Scottish Highlands will ignite your passion for adventure and creativity.

General Itinerary

Attendees should look for an overnight flight to Edinburgh on Oct 31st, arriving Nov 1st. Arriving to Edinburgh about noon or earlier is desirable. Once to the hotel we will drop luggage and gear and set out to explore. If you plan to arrive earlier than Nov 1st, you must make your own hotel reservations.

• Arrive Edinburgh Airport. Taxi to Hotel (Apex Grassmarket Hotel- Address: 31-35 Grassmarket, Edinburgh EH1 2HS, United Kingdom)

• Approx. 1pm: Afternoon/Evening shoot around historic Edinburgh. Dinner

Nov 2, 2024 – 10am – Depart for Glencoe (Ballaculish Hotel, Nr Fort William, Glencoe PH49 4JY, United Kingdom)

• While in Glencoe we will explore various local areas of interest for landscapes, nature, and culture

• Please note that weather conditions and light can/may change our itinerary

Nov 5, 2024, 9am – Depart of Isle of Skye (Cuillins Hotel, Scorrybreac Rd, Portree IV51 9QU, United Kingdom)

Nov 5 – 9 – 

• While on the Isle of Skye we will explore the village of Portree, Old Man of Storr, Kilt Rock, Quiraing, Duntulm Castle, Uig, Elgin, Fairy Pools, and more

• Please note that weather conditions and light can/may change our itinerary

Nov 9 – 9am – Depart for Edinburgh (Hampton Inn By Edinburgh Airport, 5 Almond Avenue, Edinburgh, EH12 9GN)

• Afternoon/Evening shoot in historic Edinburgh

Skill Sets: All Levels of Photographers are Welcome. Others are welcome to attend, but please note: This is a photography workshop.
Physical Activity: Medium. We will be walking and touring historic sites, towns, and villages for a few hours each day. We will have structured days with planned leisure time.

Payments
A deposit of 25% of the total cost of the trip is required upon sign-up to secure a spot. The remaining balance is due 90-days prior to the workshop. We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance.
