What to Bring:
  • Make sure to bring your camera and memory card. Tamron will have lenses available to use, if you would like!
  • If you have Neutral Density filters, you are welcome to bring them with you.
Recommended Prerequisites:
Basic Knowledge of your Camera

In this session, we will explore the world of Impressionistic Photography. This will give participants the basic tools to start experimenting to create unique images even in popular shooting locations or with common backyard subjects. During the photo walk, various techniques will be demonstrated and your instructor, Alyce Bender, will be there to assist and answer any questions participants have about the techniques. Participants should have a camera that allows for manual exposure operation and manual focusing.
About Bender
Bender is a professional nature photographer, writer, educator, and tour leader based in the USA. Her passion for wildlife and the natural environment compels her to connect others with nature through sharing both visual art and in-field experiences that promote conservation, creativity, and ethical photography. When she isn’t in the field creating or leading photography tours where participants explore and expand their personal vision and naturalist skills, she offers a variety of educational programs for photography organizations large and small and is a contributing writer and photographer for the Journal of Wildlife Photography.

Print Review Monthly: Printing in Black & White

Introduction- Wednesday August 26th, 6:30-7:30pm ET • Online! • Print Review- Wednesday September 2nd, 6:30-8pm • Hunt’s Melrose or Online! • This class will focus on editing for print in black & white and touch upon what images to consider that will make strong monochrome images.
